Because you know for certain the copy of the game they're going to bring with them is exactly the one in the screenshots?
The screenshots may be "new", but they could of come from a version of the game made 3 months ago.

Who ever said I hate the fans? I am one of them, and self-loathing isn't a hobby, so.........
Loving something and blindly praising it is something else. You can laugh and skip and be happy with whatever you're given all you want, but there are some of us who would rather be skeptical now and blown away at launch than get our hopes up only to be dissapointed. Either approach is completely rational.
If I'm overly harsh, it's because I think what I've been shown of this game so far is dissapointing to an alarming degree. The quick defence of those early screenshots was that they were pre-alpha, or whatever, and if Bioware is already showing off gameplay, then that excuse doesn't fly. You can argue with me all you want, but I find it very hard to believe that they would let GI run with pre-alpha screenshots if they had the game in a state polished enough to show to people in action, let alone play it for themselves.
My criticism is in the interest of the game coming out better than it would be otherwise.

Hey, I'm all for being proved wrong, and I'm waiting with baited breath to hear that DA2 is the greatest thing EVAR. I just haven't heard or seen anything to indicate that.
