I am still sticking to my theory that Bhelen was trying to provoke you as he is not convinced of your loyalty. But it's just a theory and maybe the toolset contradicts it. But angering a *necessary* potential ally sounds distinctly un-Bhelen like. Well...so does his reaction in the assembly if he loses.

Even if that is his reason (which I'm not sure why it's even necessary as you've already hurt Harrowmont's support at this point and, spy or not, Harrowmont can't openly take credit for Jarvia without blowing your cover and the letter you could find about Trian doesn't come up until after Bhelen loses, and he doesn't seem to expect you to really find Branka anyway given he's the one not pointedly not stalling like he said he would when you come back so he clearly just wanted you out of the way) it doesn't make him very likeable at the time as people mocking and insulting you is never likeable.

Although, I have to admit: I did hear his summary of his convincing you to kill Trian in the toolset and that was pretty amusing.

Biggest parentheses evar! It was not necessary no, but I can't find another (Bhelen like) reason for him being that rude when he is clearly better off with you on his side. Of course, I never suggested he was likeable with a DN. But him restoring you to your House when it was not even part of the arrangement (if I recall correctly), was kind of...sweet.

1.7k words? Are we talking about our long excessive PMs that I should go reply too? Because if we aren't they come pretty close. /wacky

Oghren. I'm gonna go with...the horror the horror. Oh and it is sooort of low for him to diss the mother of your son when he's with a casteless who is sleeping with him to support her drunken mother and her sister who is throwing her life away for crime in order to support her. So yeah.

I think he was just enjoying the fact that, for the first time in his life, he didn't have to worry about sucking up to you so, no matter how much better than Trian you treated him, he was taking full advantage plus he was annoyed you being alive could potentially ruin all of his plans.

No, actually my response to someone insisting that the DN origin made you play an idiot as you couldn't just challenge Trian to a Proving and be done with it in the 'Worst Origin' thread.

But he did need to suck up to the DN or at the very least try not to anger him. But yea, it could be an explanation. Bhelen got a bit ahead of himself, and thought he already bested his bro / sis.

I don't know what ArtRage is, but I'm in love with the interface. Circles are teh awesome (compared to the sucky squares of Photoshop).

Well hopefully after 1700 words. Posted Image

Edit: And it definitely added to my awe of Bhelen.

It was annoying that someone saw it was long and, clearly not knowing what wall of text actually means, accused my many paragraphs of being it. Posted Image

Soignee, if you use this to make your awesome paintings, I neeeeed to know what this program is. Do you need a tablet to use it?

yes you need a pressure sensitive wacom. The program is Artrage Studio- it has more toys then Artrage 3.0. A sense of how paint/ink reacts and merges helps too, because Artrage is made for life's crayon eaters...

Great picture Soignee (now that I can load up on a computer network that doesn't block photobucket), though the hand position looks uncomfortable. Maybe not if it's Missa's left hand with the dwarves longer arms.

Anyways, was reading Sarah's fics and had a very odd but cool thought. How would things've gone if both Aeducan and Brosca survived? Not, strictly, both becoming Wardens, though that would be... rather epic, but just alive. PC!Aeducan meeting Brosca in the carta dungeon, PC!Brosca encountering Aeducan in the Deep Roads.

My fic has ALL the wardens survive. Protagonist Raonar Aeducan helps Faren Broska escape Jarvia's dungeons (he was captured AGAIN after killing Beraht, since Duncan wasn't there, but Jarvia got him. He was in the carta). Later, Faren Broska helps Raonar fake Trian's death, then helps him escape the deep roads and they all reach Ostagar.

Yes, I am in a moment of bragging about myself. Doesn't happen often, since I am ever so modest, but meh.

I would consider you and Raonar naive if I had not read your fiction. :P

Yes, good thing you did at least.

You never did tell me what made you reconsider your assumption of naivite though. Care to share?:P

It probably has something to do with Raonar stabbing Trian, yes?
