I thought Tegan was talking to me for a second on my first time.
Teagan: Its .. Thomas yes?
Me: HOLY CRAP!
Thomas: Yes Mi' Lord.

I was ashamed.

LOL!

My last dwarf run was so long ago and I never finished it, thinking about doing another one before DA2 comes out.

Yet I can't decide on the noble or casteless origin.

Well for me:

DN: Political intrigue, family, murder, honor, lies, and the best "Its not what it looks like" moment in gaming history.

DC: Poverty, crime, family, tradition, MURDER aplenty, and the best trolling moment ever committed in Orzamar.

Overall play both Origins find which you like and play with that.

Or play a lyrium addled DC who is completely insane, like I did. Its good for many laughs picking the weirder lines that pop up.

DN was the best origin hands down. You get to see Bhelen's Xanatos speed chess at play.

I've never been able to decide which of the dwarven origins I like the best. But I do love coming home to Orzammar as a noble dwarf, such a warm welcome.

My two most recent dwarven ladies, Magnhild Brosca and Mina Aeducan. <3

DN for sure for me. A DC is good as well, but I like a political origin.

My favourite, of course I'll cheer lead for it. I didn't find the Aeducan origin too political, it was more LOL YOU'RE BEING SET UP more then anything. Brosca still makes me mad. I started a new one and when Beraht was talking I found myself going "grrrrrrrrrrrr...."

You know as much as I know he ends up being a better rule then Harrowmont I still love cutting off the Bastards head as a DN. Bet you didn't see that one coming little brother.

Its more fun for me to play a DC.

Could be that I love underdog stories, plus I like becoming a Paragon in the ending since at the start the nobles all tried to pretend I didnt exist.

Oh man. Nothing more infuriating than being told I don't exist by the Shaper.

The end is a very big ~NEENER NEENER KISS MY PERKY DWARVEN BUTT~ moment.

Yeah the DC has the best rise to power storyline in the game out of most of them. Though the CE can end up as a Teryn I usually find making Shianna a Bann more satsifying.

Which is why it's a good thing the epilogue slide mentioning that Bann Shianni gets murdered a few years later doesn't actually trigger.

Yeah true enough. Though like half the boons appear to end up being ignored.

I wonder why it doesn't. It was a good slide. A nice way to bash optimism.

That would have pissed off a lot of City Elf players though.
I mean the:
Dalish
Mage
Dwarf and Human Noble Origins all get good endings, but their boon is the one that gets picked out for failing no matter what. That would smell of a Gaiderism.

Probably because it ends up being too bleak. I mean **** you go through all this effort to save Fereldan, and end up being granted a boon only for it to end up getting thrown back into your face. Doesn't feel really balanced with the Dwarf ending.

City Elf: So how'd things turn out for you?
Dwarf Commoner: Oh I was granted the rank of Warrior caste then become a Paragon so people keep treating me more or less like I'm a living god.
City Elf: Oh......I see...I ended up getting my cousin murdered by granting her the rank of a Bann.

It even has things bad for Bann Soris which never happens (maybe he's Alistair/Anora's pick if you turn it down but don't suggest Shianni?) and tense for Bann CE but it doesn't even have anything for Cyrion. Maybe being the Hero of Ferelden's diplomatic elderly father has him die before he can be murdered?

If the happened my City Elf wardens would have gone back and found the ones who did it and make them pay for it.

Well if it consoles you, it's very possible that Ferelden will get f***** and all endings were for nothing.

Yeah I feel kinda bad for Fereldan since everything I'm seeing from DA2 seems to point to Qunari Invasion led by Sten, and without the Warden there things are gonna go to hell.

Wha... Sten? No mention of Sten as of yet. I doubt Hawke is gonna just sit there twiddling her/his thumbs.

The signature edition has a sword called "Might of the Sten".
That's the only mention of him. Assuming that this is the same Sten.

It's speculation on my part more or less but if they were going to send any one to lead an invasion of Fereldan it'd be someone with intimate knowledge of the country.
