EQ sucked my life away for about two years. My forum handle comes from one of my characters on the RP server. Oddly, none of my dwarves ever hit raid levels.

You got a thing called Faction Change, your character got's transfered to the other side.

I wasn't in the guild when they did it, but they also switched server.

Hmmmm, when did that go into effect?  It's not a bad change, but obviously, it's been a long time since I've played WoW.

I think it was roughly one year ago.

Hah, ok, no, my brief time in WoW was several years ago.  It is a good change, though I bet there was a lot of complaining about it.

So I cant wait to get back to Orzamar with my current warden.

He will be the prophet of the Dwarven Messiah.

I plan on crowning Bhelen (duh)

Keeping the Anvil

Asking for the military Boon.

Have to ask though, would Bhelen use apostates that are hiding in Orzamar you think? I think he would. he obviuosly has knowledge about mages, but would he use them though?

I dont want to risk an exalted march messing up my dwarven golden age really.

I think that if Bhelen weren't planning on using the apostates, he wouldn't risk starting anything with the Chantry by letting them in. He's not an altruist, after all, and you can't really sneak into Orzammar.

@Jess -- MWAH!

@Costin & Soignee -- I actually ended up resubscribing to WoW after "quitting" about a year and half ago. (I still logged on to do holiday stuff since my account hadn't expired yet.) Raiding bores me, but PvP is calling to me with its siren song. I destroyed my PvP gear so I could resist the temptation until after Cataclysm is out. I can't convince anyone to convert their characters into goblins. I didn't want to lose all my achievements, mounts, etc, but the best I can do is that one night a week, my husband and I will play on goblin alts. Oh, goblins, if you had been available over five years ago ... They're like tiny swamp witches -- all the wise-cracking attitude of gnomes combined with the coolness and zen-like mojo of the trolls!

Has anything new happened with DA:O since Witch Hunt came out? I suspect not. The only DA2 updates I get is actually from Aimo's wild and crazy fantasies with her Hawke and Varric over at Deviant Art. =p

Well they fixed WH at least. But not really anything new. I still need to settle down and get Tryna Effin Brosca finished. Jarvia's dead though! But the deep roads...ugh.

And DWARVES!

If they would just make a black or charcoal t-shirt with the legion of the dead logo, I'd buy it! FFS, Bioware, steal whoever is being productive with the ME apparel! =p

No kidding! I found "Queen of Ferelden" shirts somewhere, but not what I want. i have a Queen (wedding and all!) but I just want some nice DA:O hoodies and tees.

Faction change to Goblin for the win then :P

You don't lose anything ( just the Argent Tournament Achievement if you have it ). As for Raiding, well for me it always was something tied deep with the story. On some level I was pissed off at them for making certain characters raid bosses, but I could understand it perfectly. More importantly I felt it was a very fitting tribute to said characters to make em require a raid of 10/25 people that would have a real fight to defeat them, some people have a problem with this but those usually haven't played the game more then 10-20 levels so I can bluntly tell them that their opinion is a load of bull.

You are NOT prepared! that's enough reason for me to justify spending almost 4 years on that game. I suppose all those that watch the video see a 15 min clip and just that? Me? I spent over a year getting to him and killing him.

I see a game that got me engaged to such a level that I was willing to play it for so long. I spent around 700$ on WoW Subscription+Expansions, and I have around 600 DAYS played ( though I admit that at least a quarter of that is done while I was AFK ). I could gather up all the other games I have played ( which would beat the hell out of WoW in price when put together ) and I still wouldn't come nowhere near as close to it. And no, it's no addiction. I don't play much at all besides Raiding ( I don't PVP, I don't do daily quests as I have enough gold for repairs, enchants etc. ) but I very much enjoy raiding because of the excellent gameplay, story, almost bug free balanced game ( which means a hell lot to me ) + the social aspect.

So the future of Orzamar is now secure.

Bhelen is on the throne.

My noble is well on his way to Paragon hood.

Branka is restarting the anvil.

Gorim Aeducan is getting started on his way.

Dagna will be bringing the apostates in.

Plus I will ask for the military boon.

Honestly in a few years Orzamar will be turned around. My noble is just going to leave though I think, he is helping but he dosent want to stay around I think.

I dont think he really fits into the Orzamar situation that well.

Still Paragon Dain, who refound the anvil and Paragon Branka, crowned Bhelen Aeducan the dwarven Messiah (I loled when the assembly said "JUST PICK SOMEONE, WE DONT CARE!"), got the Dead Caste more rights (the insignia in Origins and in Awakening), plus allowed for Kal Hirrol to be retaken. Also ending a blight and helping get Anora on the throne. That's a pretty full carrer. Plus his son might go on to do something great, but talk about a dad to live up to.

So I can see why people want to keep the anvil now.

Those four steel golems just dont DIE.

Wynne kept healing them, and they lasted through the market, and the whole roof top battle. I only lost ONE.

The Dalish lost: 5(50), in the Palace courtyard

The Redcliffe forces lost:7(50), in the Drakon Courtyard

The Dwarves lost :3(50), in the alienage.

The mages lost no one at the gates.

The Golems went through the Markets and the whole battle and lost only ONE. Plus they kept me from getting overwhelmed during the rooftop battle. I guess the are really an invincible army then.

Golems destroy foes
Anvil destroys dwarven souls
The Stone mourns her sons.

No seasonal reference, but do most dwarves even pay attention to the seasons?

Agreed. I think a lot of men (and women with male PCs), wanted to romance Sigrun in Awakening, which I'm sure must have been surprising feedback in the devs eyes when they made her.

I appreciated her in a friendly way, but didn't find her attractive mostly because of the tattoos, and I know I've mentioned that here before. Anyway over time, though, I got past the issues with her tattoos, and her rockin personality was very charming and completely won me over. She's second only to Morrigan in my opinion as far as DA women go. I'm thinking of making a male elf rogue grey warden for Awakening and get the best dialogue with Sigrun, and maybe make a fanfic depicting this guy as a hapless "grey warden intern" who is slightly timid and falls for the cheery, brave, perky Dwarven badass that is Sigrun. Btw I'm copyrighting that fanfic idea. NO ONE ELSE TAKE IT!! :P

I could never imagine Sigrun falling for an elf.

Well kinda the beauty of Sigrun not being a love interest is that we'll never know just what her preferences are...

Then again, to be fair, anyone who is made into a love interest in most games are programmed to be attracted to the PC, regardless of PC's race, so that point is almost moot.

I'm just saying that since any hope for Sigrun romance lies within the realms of fanfiction, that anyone who writes it well could get away with a lot :)

You know what: Sigrun's theoretical romantic tastes sounds like a good topic to keep the thread going for a bit, since Sigrun doesn't get enough love or discussions about her here...

If I were to guess at what Sigrun would be attracted to... well I would honestly say that race would have no bearing to her on the issue. As far as that kind of physical standard would go, I think Sigrun would be open to relationships with humans or elves. One thing I noticed immediately about Sigrun when I first played Awakening was her extremely curious nature. She was curious about EVERYTHING of the outside world... She was eager to learn as much as she could, and was part of the reason, I think, she was so eager to join the Grey Wardens. Can you honestly tell me that she would be closed off to non-dwarven partners given all that? I think the idea would intrigue her to an extent. She doesn't seem as keen on traditions as others, so I'm not sure she would be worried on that aspect as others would be. My final point is that there are moments in Awakening where they could have easily put in romance subplot dialogue, like the last major convo with her where she declares her plans to go on her calling and you can say "I don't want to lose a friend" and she is touched by that. Its the same level of depth of emotion regardless of the PC's race.

That is my opinion anyhow.

What do the rest of you think: What would Sigrun's romantic preferences be, and why?

The problem with a Sigrun romance, and it's only a problem not something impossible, is that she thinks of herself as dead. In one of her convo's with Oghren she points out that any relationship would be short term, and she's interested in relationships, not casual sex.

One possible counter to that is Zevran with his 'seize joy while you can' attitude. It's not nearly as nihilistic as Sigrun's but it's a way she could be persuaded to look at a potential partner.

You know, I saw a fanfic post on the Anders thread that suggested a Zevran/Sigrun pairing. I didn't really think about it before, but when you put it like that, mousestalker...

They'd be hell on wheels, the two of them together. In a good way, I mean, if you like endless friendly verbal sparring and/or flirting with everything in the Vigil.

As far as her preferences go... I'm not sure curiosity translates directly into romantic interest, but I don't want to harsh anyone's mellow. I do think she's at a point where she's not running from being casteless, and is darn proud of being Legion, and any LI had better understand dwarves enough to understand what that *means.* I think she'd also be looking for a measure of responsibility in a partner - a casteless who was still a good-for-nothing duster at heart would not be in the running (so, no worries about Leske snatching her up). She does love to puncture arrogance, so anyone too full of themselves (any Hero of Ferelden might qualify, depending on RP, but Couslands and Aeducans do it especially well) would have to get over themselves before she could take them seriously.

But the more I think about it, the more I think mousestalker's got a really good point. Having a serious relationship with one of 'the living' is going to, one would think, make her a little less willing to really die-die. If it ever interfered with her acceptance of her death, there would be problems - she can't walk away from the Legion without hugely damaging her self-image and sense of self-worth.

Or maybe not. She manages to balance bonds of friendship with the Wardens of the Vigil and her duty to the Legion. I tend to think that's a different kind of thing, but YMMV.

Question: when a female noble marries within her caste does she remain part of her family or become part of the husband's?
