It probably has something to do with Raoanr stabbing Trian, yes?

It has to do with SAVING Trian.

Wait, so you APPROVE of saving Trian? That wasn't the impression I got...

No! I think it is naive to try and save that fool!

I asked what made you RECONSIDER your assumption of naivite ;)

That you gave a solid political reason for it. That in your mind you see Trian as someone who can become a good king, and the way Raonar pulled it off is very credible.

Naivety would have been saving Trian and expecting to condemn Bhelen just like that.

Well then, thanks ;) Coming from you, that's really something, considering you seem to have a fine grasp of politics.

And really, I think people think Trian is way too stupid. Truthfully, I don't think he's THAT bad. He's just unlucky enough to always be compared to Bhelen and the DN, just like Harrowmont is.

Yea, I do not think Trian is stupid either. But his status quo traditionalist stance is not what Orzammar needs.

He is still better than Harrowmont though imo, considering how Harrowmont turns out to be regressive and not solely conservative.

You can get over being a traditionalist if your brother stabs you in order to fake your death, then your brother's second bosses your around for a year while keeping you hidden in the bowels of the secret section of the Harrowmont estate.

Great picture Soignee (now that I can load up on a computer network that doesn't block photobucket), though the hand position looks uncomfortable. Maybe not if it's Missa's left hand with the dwarves longer arms.

Anyways, was reading Sarah's fics and had a very odd but cool thought. How would things've gone if both Aeducan and Brosca survived? Not, strictly, both becoming Wardens, though that would be... rather epic, but just alive. PC!Aeducan meeting Brosca in the carta dungeon, PC!Brosca encountering Aeducan in the Deep Roads.

Missa's very flexable, lulz. I took a photo of it with me doing it with a paintbrush (hurr durr i win at life) Images re shrunk here, it makes more sense on Deviant Art.

I am snobby about working from refererences, I should stop being so snobby about it. I get paranoid I'd be accused of tracing otherwise <.<

Buttttttt you got me thinking it's out of sync and maybe I can handwave it as loldwarf arms. Hrrm.

@Payroo, aaw thanks <3

I'm working with an AU that has several survivors.  Kallian Tabris has become the rogue K from the "Favors for Certain Interested Parties" quest line and is a big lyrium smuggler and elven agitator in post-Blight Denerim.  Brosca runs the Carta she deals with (took it over after m!Surana, who's the Hero of Ferelden in this AU, killed Jarvia).  Daylen Amell's a lyrium-addicted apostate hiding out in Denerim.

I can't imagine Cousland or Mahariel surviving, though, and haven't decided about Aeducan.

Aeducan dies in my Brosca universe. I toyed with the idea of making her Battleaxe, a OC of mine, but eh. Nope, she's dead.

Unless Missa should happen across her body and somehow recognize it, I'm refusing to believe it. Image IPB

Oh, btw I got 2 guest cd-keys which allow people to play SC2 for one day for free. Comes with the game package. So who wants em? ( Got nothing do with them anyway. )

Thanks a lot, but the computer I have to bare with every day is atrocious and I don't think it can handle SC2. So you can give the cd key to someone else. Besides, I might buy it when I go back to Canada. I really appreciate the thought though Image IPB

How's the campaign btw?
I am crossing my fingers for Arcturus Mengsk not dying. He's my favorite Terran character by far.

I barely got to mission 4, lol. But from what I have seen Mengsk ( I can't spell that name for **** ) is even more ruthless then before.

His Dominion has gotten just as worse as the Confederates have I think.

I liked Mengsk a lot...until Tarsonis. Don't get me wrong I give a **** about Kerrigan, but he use the Psi Emitters to rule the Zerg that slaughtered billions, BILLIONS! All for what? An easy military victory over the Confederates who were losing anyway at that point?

I understood why he did it, I liked him for wanting to fight a corrupt system but he became corrupted himself despite trying to do right thing ( and yes he did the right thing by fighting Kerigan, the UED, the Confederates ) but it's just too far in my opinion.

Check my first LP video here Knight:

Yes, what he did to Tarsonis was a bit extreme, but I can see where he's coming from. The confederacy wiped out his planet and billions of his people. Not to mention them using the zerg to destroy other colonies just to look like saviors.  It was extreme, but it was ironic justice. The Confederacy got a taste of its own medicine. ARcturus only did that once. The Confederacy did that several times. The UED was sure going to do that several times.
If resorting to the zerg meant a swift victory with little casualties (on his side), that ensured that the Dominion could be established properly and quickly. Then I can see where he is coming from. I don't like it, but taken into context, what happened to Tarsonis was relatively minor. I am certain the death tll under the Confederacy was much higher. And whoknows how  many would have died if the UED used them on the populace of the Koprulu sector that did nto like them.

I don't know how the Dominion is in SC2, but it saved many Terran lives and colonies in SC1 and for the first time united the Koprulu sector. And it did not resort to using the zerg against its *own* populace like the Confederacy did. Nor did it mass bombard a planet into extinction.

So while I do not think the Dominion or Arcturus are ideal, I do not think they are as bad as the confederacy. I would pick them over their predecessor.
My current hope is for Valerian to succeed his father and be less ruthless. Valerian has room for compassion as he did not personally experience what Arcturus did.

EDIT: Oh and during the Fall of Tarsonis, Arcturus did secure a spaceport that evacuated as many civilians as possible. The starcraft wiki says that the Sons of Korhal organised or helped organise the evacuation effort. He could have destroyed it if he wanted to.

The Confederacy did not do the same with Korhal, as far as I know.
