So lyrium is like some types of plants?

Where you can eat the roots, or leaves for their medicinal properties, but if you cook out some of the liquid from the stem it can be turned into a poison?

...no. It's more like a mineral. Or nitroglycerin.

lyrium is more like an ore/mineral.

It's a mineral I think, not an ore.

Soignee: I made an offer about DDW, you care for it?

“We have also changed the way elves and dwarves look for that matter, but qunari seem the most dramatic because you only ever saw Sten in Dragon Age: Origins.”

From: Here

So, what do you think will happen to dwarves, the concept of varric looked pretty similar to what has been seen thus far.

I bet they changed the female's arms to be more preportionate. And I bet the elves are more LotR-esque.<_<

At least the dwarves will stay about the same (If Varric is anything to go by). Except for getting leather jackets.

...only ever saw Sten, his two buddies in the Fade, the dude in "Awakening," an entire mercenary unit, Marjolaine's guards, other assorted tal'vashoth... yeeeeah no, it was totally just Sten.

They conveniently have their horns removed if they leave for the Tal'Vashot, which accounts for all the mercenaries.

I am so tempted to make a joke about Qunari, horns, and lacking them.

But I shall drag my last shread of dignity out the door.

If I see a Tolkien Elf in DA2 then I'm going to cut it. I don't care what the ramifications are.
and hopefully the Dwarfs will have slightly shorter arms. The Orangutan arms are weird.

edit: Holy crap I just saw the redesigned Qunari. I love it.

If we get Tolkien elves, I hoped they are wiped out during the game or are a mutation of the regular elves. Dammit, I'm sick of seeing tall, beautiful elves, I want short, lithe and mustache-less :P

I read somewhere that they were taking a cue from Native Americans for the Dalish.  So I think we are likely to see a fiercer, "darker" image, and I for one say boo-ya to that.  Just don't want donkey ears.  :?

After them straight up saying that they wanted to *not* look like Lord of the Rings, it would be pretty asinine for them to turn around and have their elves look Tolkien-esque.

I'd rather see something more creative than Dungeons and Dragon elven varieties, too.

Maybe they're going for a look that's more like the Na'vi in the Avatar movie? Except less blue.

Oghren! He is just too powerful.

I also like Trian despite being a complete douche at the beginning cause I was playing Urn of Sacred Ashes where the ghost of one of your origins talks too you.(I killed Trian) so he was like forget the past Brother, "I forgive you." I swear I cry when he say that...

Bhelen I just can't stand him I kill him every time. I mean with Trian out of the way the Throne was mine butt noooo mister Im power hungry bastard betrays me. grgrgrgr.

Beats me. Not sure it matters unless their changes are retroactive since we're not playing dwarves in DA2 anyway.

Yes.

but he's a magnificent power hungry bastard.

In other news I just started playing Red Dead Redemption.
I can honestly say that the "I know you" quest line, chilled me to the bone.

We'll still probably have a dwarven party member and if the changes are drastic we'd notice it regardless.

Edit: And I'm not sure that anyone who actually kills Trian (and you have to actually announce to Bhelen that you're going to kill him no matter what based on a rumor) has a right to go around calling other people power hungry.

Unless he does say he will kill Trian in order to prevent Bhelen from having mercenaries kill him instead.

Though that still ends in him dying since your two scouts are in Bhelen's pocket too. sigh. Hardcoding at its best.
