I read somewhere that they were taking a cue from Native Americans for the Dalish.  So I think we are likely to see a fiercer, "darker" image, and I for one say boo-ya to that.  Just don't want donkey ears.  :?

At the same time it's a bit skeevy, and if it goes of Last of the Mohicans and Hawke plays the Noble White Man I *will* cut a betch.

It's the reason Avatar was switched off halway through for me.

If I didn't have such an awesome avatar already, I would try to have this.

Ah, Avatar, the colonialist anti-colonialism movie. Visually stunning, shame about... everything else.

A friend of mine described it as the "pynnacle of Western hypocracy". There is some truth to that.

**** YEAH OUR OWN DLC
yayyyyyyyyyy golemssssss!

It's called "Golems of Amgarrak" and comes out August 10th.

Yay, dwarf DLC! Not sure if I'll buy it yet, since I usually don't buy DLC, but we'll see.

So, what do you think will happen to dwarves, the concept of varric looked pretty similar to what has been seen thus far.

Ugh, why did they decide to make qunari look like another darkspawn race? I especially love how they try to retcon it, either their is a good lore explanation or just admit it was a design decision (which is obvious, anyways) and don't bother coming up with a stupid explanation. "Uh...some just don't have them." Brilliant.

I hope they just keep the dwarves looking like they've done Varric so far...otherwise they better make them pretty damn awesome!

I call it a boring movie that is so beautiful you will force yourself to sit through it. If Avatar had been done in any other medium, it would have panned.

So...finally uploaded my new avatar. Hell, it's about time.

As for Avatar, great visuals ( I saw it Imax and I was blown away ) but really really bull**** story.

Hooray for Raynor! (I've been watching Costin's Let's Play, since my feeble laptop cannot play SC2, loving to so far - that survive 20 mins mission was batsh*t insane). On a DA-related topic: Costin, Your 'Thy End' video is worlds of awesome.

I once saw a picture online that had the plot of Disney's Pocahontas with all the names crossed out and the Avatar ones written above them. It was funnily identical.

I'm really looking forward to the new DLC. If only to find out what the heck that thing in the video is. I hope it gets an explanation and isn't just called 'The Abject' or something similarly great but utterly nondescript.

Glad someone appreciates it!

The mission is quite hard on your first go, but after finishing it once on Brutal doing it on Hard with the Achievement isn't so difficult.

As for the Normal achievement, it is quite easy, provided you don't build any buildings in the spots where they will get removed in the ending Cinematic ( happened to me ). I just massed supply depots east of the minerals and built a third barracks between my two starting barracks.

When video 15 comes up, I will spend some time at the start discussing the other achievements that I didn't capture on video.

Awww. I thought your 'flying command centre outlasting the last few seconds'-tactic was rather great. I suppose it was on Brutal, though. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the story, though. I liked the story in the original SC.

What was the music track/s you had playign during the actual fight? I know its not the standard track, since I really don't like the normal one.

Improvising is key in any RTS. :) And yes it was on Brutal.

The songs are: Two Steps from Hell: Freefall, Titan Dune, Forces of Destiny.

Nice! Now I wonder if I can mod the game soundtrack so it plays Freefall or Titan Dune instead of the Archdemon battle theme....

I haven't seen Avatar and probably won't unless the Mister and I get really bored someday.  I boycott movies that don't bother to hire a writer.

Just a hint, it would be more fun to listen to female Shepard talk for about 3 hours then watching that piece of ****. ( While I don't hate her voice, I know you do ).

It's THAT bad.

His avatar reminds me of Smiling Jack from Vampire Masquerade. That makes it awesome:P

And for on-topicness, Mr. Aeducan.

But I thought everyone loved movies where a white dude is better at being a native than the people who are born into and grew up in the culture! You know, what takes even the best native years to perfect will be learned perfectly by aforementioned white dude in about half a week, thus establishing his white male superiority and saving the silly natives from their backward ways and issues that they're clearly too primitive to solve!

*slaps self before I get really mad*:sick::sick::sick::sick:

I don't want to further the off-topic chat but I just feel the overwhelming need to say one thing which is that Avatar is just James Cameron having a ****** for 160 minutes while watching Fern Gulley and telling you how bloody brillant he is.
Hey look a Legion of the Dead Warrior! :innocent:
