That bad?!!

Yes, regarding the story I mean.

The ending is the worst part for me...so the hero marshals an army of Na'vi to fight the company. Now the Na'vi have a Gunship ( which the hero hijacked ), about 300 flying creatures and about 2.700 Cavalry. The Company has about 200 Infantry, which also includes a dozen or so human piloted mechs and 30 or so Gunships.

Now, despite my utter dislike of story so far, and the reason the Hero joins the Na'vi and other stuff, it would have been interesting to see him win using the army he has...

Instead...The Company ( who is outnumbered over 10 to 1 on both ground and air ) utterly and completely slaughters half the Na'vi army, sending the rest in a retreat...and then.....then Mother Nature saves the day, by sending Thousands of flying creatures into the fray...which rout the Company forces ( who had fought a force ten times their size )...

Great ending! Feasts and all that....except half your military is dead! . So instead of peace ( which the Na'vi were given, just that they refused out of their stupid traditions ) they choose war.

Well...when the Company comes back with an army instead of a security force ( which the Na'vi fought ) then they are going to get slaughtered. Hell if they are smart they will just nuke the whole planet from Orbit and then mine the minerals in peace.

Considering the high value of mineral, I very much doubt the Company would not try to reclaim Pandora..

BTW, I dunno who's in your new avatar, but I, um... I kinda like it. *sweats*

Unless he does say he will kill Trian in order to prevent Bhelen from having mercenaries kill him instead.

Though that still ends in him dying since your two scouts are in Bhelen's pocket too. sigh. Hardcoding at its best.

Somehow, I doubt that's what motivates many of these 'OMG, Trian attacked me for absolutely no reason and I had to kill him in self-defense! You know, it's things like these that convinced me to tell Bhelen that I was planning exactly that' people.

Oh, Avatar...my mother dragged me to see it over the month-long break between semesters back in December and I had to leave the theater a few times due to epic failure and she STILL claims I 'couldn't handle the emotions.' It didn't even remotely offend me but dear God was it poorly written, full of more plot holes than some bad fanfiction I've read, boring as hell, and preachy. Add that to the fact I really don't give a damn about special effects and it's surprising I managed to sit through as much as I did.

Dwarf art: No pics of my Duster Warden ever imported from my PS3 to my BioWare profile, so I had to do a quick sketch of her for posterity before she exits the stage (one Archdemon dispatched):

This is just a preliminary sketch, mind you. I have to complete the scale armor and add weapons. She felt very strange in the final coronation scene with no weapons. :?

I am so glad I'm not the only one who thinks the company is just going to bombard the planet to cinders from orbit.

The only good thing that came from that movie was the kickass mechs and their guns.

Those things are like automatic howitzer cannons.

Excuse me, but I think your mother sounds like the brother you mentioned in first Dwarf thread...just saying.

The only moments in the entire movie where I felt it wasn't utter bult**** was when the hero was talking with the Company Leader about their past, and when the Company beat the living **** out of the Na'vi army, but the latter only lasted a few seconds when I realized to my growing horror that Cameron was going to pull some incredibly stupid win.

But even I wasn't prepared for that kind of ****. It would have been far better if the RDA had actually won, because in the long term, subjugation is better then getting your ass nuked.

On Starcraft: Getting VERY frustrated with a mission, trying to get the Hard on Achievement on it in my first go...ain't easy.

Yeah, well my brother had to get it from somewhere, right?

Side note: my littlest brother started playing DA and decided to be nice to Trian because he ALSO decided he really wasn't all that bad in comparison to Michael.

Could you link your post that was in the old dwarf thread about your brother? Can't find it and cracks me up when I think about it.

Cheers. :) If I was you I would not come and pick him up, just once so he has to walk home alone.

Would teach him something.

My parents - who can't be bothered to do it themselves, BTW - would kill me.

So... between letting him suffer the consequences and kiling you, they'd choose the latter? Hmm...

Sounds like the Aeducans in some measure, only without the politics.

Of course they're all 'Sarah, you're over 18 and we don't charge you rent so of course we expect you to stop Michael from getting himself killed any time he ever goes anywhere.'

Try dealing with two little sisters.

"Sure Giggles, you dont have to pay rent, or R&B but every time your sisters have something to do in Winnipeg, an HOUR from home you have to drive them."

-At least they pay for gas, but this gets annoying.

So have we seen anything for concept art dwarf wise yet? I hope that there isint some subset of dwarves that has wings and is some divinly amazing subset.

Is he suicidal or retarded? Judging from the order he has to be one of them.

THREE brothers, one of whome always has one of the cars and the other two chronically needing me to take them places.

I'm still pissed at my sophomore brother for making me drive him to his school for a concert because it was 'too far' even though it's a two minute drive, walking back home with his friend because he got there an hour early, and then needing a ride BACK because he left five minutes before the concert started.

Mostly the latter although he acts like the former sometimes, like when he feels compelled to climb onto tall things and jump off of them because his stupid friends dare him to. Why my parents believe he trips over so many rocks and needs to be taken to the emergency room as often as he does is beyond me. They clearly have less faith in him than I do.

Jumping off things is a sign of mental health. Though I've been brought to the emergency room 3 times by mother. A broken arm, one of my many (over 10 at least) concussions and once when I bled from my eye.

Well they are well padded if Oghern is to be trusted on the subject.

Cant argue with them there dwarves have cute tooshies.

If in ME people can sleep with aliens, why cant there be dwarves as a LI?

I mean if people can get along with Garrus, and Tali for their personality, who is to say a Dwarf LI that was well done cant be as popular. I for one would love it, if Bioware didnt make a LI in 2 who was the stero-typical hot elf or human.
