@ Costin. It's actually a BMW Z5. Sorry typo.
Eh, many here seem to have family problems. I would almost say my family is perfect.

Except for my father, he better pray he and I never meet face to face again.

I can so relate with that

thankfully I live in a different country than my dad

She likes dwarf butts and she can not lie
Her name is soignee and she can't deny
that when she sees that bumpin' dwarven rump
it makes her wanna jump
she gets sprung
it makes her heart beat fast
don't matter what house or caste
Smith, Paragon or Duster
that armor's about to bust-ah
Ancestors, favor me with
a butt that just won't quit
Ortan, Cadash, Aeducan?
It's all good to soignee, you can
tell, if you want well-rounded
she knows you gotta go underground
The Deep Roads' mother lode
is not what you have been told
There is no treasure
compared to the pleasure
So come down
to your neighborhood dwarven town
Those surfacers can't compare
Hit that dwarven derriere. . .

. . .eh, and now I've lost it. Can anyone finish the verse for me? ;)

hehehe. NEVER GETS OLD.

Seriously, putting pop music to dwarf lulz is kind of what me and my wives do to amuse ourselves, since we: 1) love dwarves and 2) love pop songs.

Shale From The Block

Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got I'm still I'm still Shale from House Cadash.
Used to be little and now I'm not
Everywhere I go I know where I came from (Cadash!)

THE NOBLE HUNTER'S LAMENT

Don't choo wish your deshyr was brand like me
Don't choo wish your deshyr could hunt like me
Don't ya?

Put Your Lavastone Up

I come from Dust Town
Where dusters do or they don't die
Got to keep those brands close by
Somebody murdered nobody seen nobody heard it
Just another funeral service

okay, okay I'll stop now.

Wait, no I won't:

Another pic. Raynor robbing train, oh the Cliche!

Hardest mission in the game so far, and yet out of the 3 clips I recorded of it...one got corrupted. FFFFFFFFF-, and it's the middle one. So while I COULD load an autosave to do it all again, I think I would rather smack myself ...

Have we run out of Dwarf stuff to discuss?

Because . . . I think we've hashed and rehashed all of it.

I find it interesting how you kept the Mage potential wardens alive and actually involved in your tale.

So a quick question, does Bhelen:

Completely remove the assembly and make himself a total monarch or

Does he reduce it to a meaningless group of politicans?

The ending slide was a while ago, and I forget if Bhelen nukes them or just reduces them to a meanignless body.

He makes them meaningless and becomes the de facto despot.

Alrighty. If dwarves pass their caste down to their same gendered children, then do they only pass their last named to the same gendered child.

When dwarves marry, do they become the same caste? What if the female is higher caste? Does the male rise to her caste, or is he lowered down, or do they stay in their previous castes?

Half-humans would be taller, according to the devs.

They don't raise or lower anyone. They keep their caste. Example: before Branka became a Paragon she was a smith and Oghren a warrior. Had they had any daughters they would have been a part of Branka's smith house (I don't know the name sadly if it's even mentioned) and any sons would become a part of the warrior house Kondrat. House Branka did absorb all of House Kondrat, true, but that was not because of the marriage (warrior caste trumps smith caste) but because she was founding her own noble caste.

Not to butt into such august company, but I'm just delurking here to say that DN is by far the best playthrough I have ever played. I used to be a straight-up mage fanboy, but in my 3 playthroughs I realised Orzammar was always my favourite treaty quest, so I started up a DN one day - and BAM. Hot daymn I was hooked.

When I got back to Orzammar I wiki'd the quest 'Shifting Allegiances' and did it just right so I could backstab Bhelen like he backstabbed me. I didn't like how light armor looked on my PC so I learnt the toolset from scratch, made the exact same Dwarven Noble Armor from the origin story, and gave it the stats of the Felon's Coat. And I made my boyfriend Alistair wear the Aeducan Family Shield from the beginning of the game right up to the Archdemon. I even teared a little when Trian said "remember me" in the Gauntlet.

My gamer friend says I've gone off the deep end. I'm not insane am I? Someone tell me I'm not insane.

Anyway my point: dwarves rule. Great thread.

You know, I was just going to answer her using the exact same example you used, but then I thought to myself "Actually, I'll just hit refresh, and Sarah will have answered the question". Then I hit refresh, and voila

Sarah is practically a DN wiki herself, and Soignee is the same for the DC.

Gilsa probably trumps both of them though. I think...

I often betray Bhelen like that, mostly because he has more origin-specific dialogue and that's the only way you can find proof that clears your name. I also love the Trian scene. I've always been fond of him for reasons I'm not entirely clear on.

Most likely because the game is hardcoded and does't let you save his ass. That, and his obsessive behavior is not entirely his fault.

Plus he screws me over the least out of the three immediate family members and he's so doomed. I always like the doomed ones. Although I am kind of peeved whenever you set him to Understanding in the conversation with him by agreeing to go to the feast soon-ish and he says, completely unprompted, that he'll be along later to toast your command and then the dialouge when you find him later makes it clear he doesn't bother to. I'm thinking since he's actually less rude to you the first time you meet him that Bhelen finally culminates his weeks/months-long campaign to further destroy the relationship you two have and has been telling Trian all about your plan to kill him? He can't have Trian know for much longer than you do or he'll risk Trian confronting you about it and ruining his plan.

Actually, he doesn't screw you over at all, unless he thinks he's acting in self defense.

I don't know, him dying really screwed me over but since he hardly did it to ruin my life I cut him some slack.
