As long as the game being rushed doesn't mean it's has KotOR II leavels of unfinished-ness I think I'll be fine. Toolsets are really useful for looking up dialogue but I suppose I can survive without it.mousestalker wrote...
The mods are what make Bioware games for me. Qwynn's mod fixed so many loose ends and that was for a game that was in development for most of this decade. How many more glitches, bugs and incoherencies are likely in a game that's being hurried to production? Add to that the additional colours and tints, the hairstyles and the QoL add-ons that modders bring to the party. I bought DA:O early because I had confidence that even if the game were defective the mod community would quickly fix it.
Bah!

It's not that it's being more "Mass Effect"-like, at least for me, it's that BioWare aren't who they were. I've recently, i.e. the past 2 weeks) finished both KotOR and Jade Empire, and something about those games is brilliant. I'm playing Awakening for the second time, and I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would, although it's still annoyingly buggy (1.04 seems to have reversed a fix from 1.02 - i.e. the Rally deactivation, and didn't fix Sigrun's quest for me).thegreateski wrote...
Agreed Onlyshallow. They're trying to make this game more "Mass effectish" and the gameplay and replayability are really suffering for it.

The 2nd game will have to wait. My computer sucks.

Seriously I think Protoss are FUBAR-ed against Terrans, the only real strategy they can provide is use High Templars ( Dark Templars fail as you got scan, Stalkers get crushed by Marauders, Zealots too if you add concussive shells, immortals, colossus's and carriers are way to expensive and just fail against the M Ball - Marines/Marauders/Medivacs - ) however using HT actually takes Micro Skill, which most don't....so the second best strategy is mass Void Rays...which fails very badly against a decent Terran.

The dwarves actually look more dwarfy. It was odd seeing dwarves with sixpacks in Origins. Everyone knows they should have ale bellies!

Definitely second this.
Seriously, considering that dwarves actually start winning provings AT THE AGE OF TWELVE, I'd be scandalized if they DIDN't have six packs, especilly with how they start fighting the darkspawn as soon as they reach adolescence.

Yea, I know. SC is known for its balance, but it's not that balanced. Protoss players require great micro skills to beat a Terran. A strategy I have in mind is sentry / colossus combo, which I'll try out. Stalkers too, if blink is microed properly.
Immortals might be good against Marauders, but a well placed emp blast will f*** them up.

Unbelievably, it really is possible for fat and muscle to exist in the same body. Sometimes in great quantity. A *lot* of our best fighters in the SCA are sporting beer guts. They're just big guys, and sometimes big guys have big bellies. Sometimes they don't.
