So I'm writing a one-shot right now about Bhelen convincing Trian that Aunn's trying to kill him and so he decides to confront her (as happens in-game if you agree to kill Trian yourself) and he is being so frustrating! He's quite convinced that she's disrespecting his authority, treating him like an idot, ect. when I know that she's trying to be nice and not start something.

I just saw the new concept art for the DA2 races.... I liked that they made the Dwarf male design more unique and dwarf females are looking as cute as ever. DWARF LI IN DA2 BIOWARE

Hey, I like it. I think the dwarf male is sexy, but then again, I don't play male dwarves so I don't have much room to criticize. I've seen some people slam the female dwarves and then I'll ask if they've played dwarves in DAO. If they haven't, then why do they care? If they haven't played a dwarf before, they sure ain't gonna start now. Go obsess over the twisted human female leg or something. =p

The Dwarf females look very cute. I also like the Dwarf Male design but I can understand why some people may not like the gut. But mostly what I got from the new Dwarf Male design was that he had more muscle. This guy looks like he has a decent chance at beating a Qunari in an arm wrestling contest.



I thought that the Dwarven origins were the strongest in Dragon Age. Human Noble was a little too vanilla and unexciting for me.

Exactly. The dwarf and qunari look like they can really hold their own against each other. The human and elves don't stand a chance against either of them.

Edit: I think the dwarf female looks like an amazon. I love it. I love the outfit the artist put her in. I don't actually expect that to be in the game, but for display purposes, it's fistbump worthy.

I'm mostly weirded out about female dwarves lacking any sign of torso. Perhaps this was the price they have paid to get their arms shortened? Although the male dwarves seemingly got the same change for free... and even got some gut extra.

Worst part is that it'll probably be years before we can even play their revised dwarves. From what I've read so far, it sounds to me that they want their brand to stand out and Hawke is the poster boy for that. It's likely they'll return to letting us play the other races again someday or worst case scenario, we keep playing as Hawke from that point on.

Edit: So cute, soignee. I envy your ability to churn those out quickly.

Unless they do something really weird to the game save files and/or engine (and there's no real reason for them to do that) i'd imagine there's going to be people setting character's appearance to dwarf roughly five minutes into the game

I'm wondering if they plan to make a patch to 'correct' the appearances of the races in Origins/Awakening when they release/prepare to release DA2.

It could happen.

It'd be easier to do than the reverse. There's just some imported flags to set about what kind of character Hawke is and since it's already voice and a set character closer to Shepard than the Warden (from what I've seen so far) than it would be doable.
