Golem DLC is up now. Need to download it via their DLC site rather than download tab in-game, it seems. Here's the thread. Off to download and get THE HIGH REGARD OF HOUSE DACE. =p

Yay! Off to a great start! I forgot I put Harrowmont on the throne in this game, but his name got mentioned and I was all whoah, that's riiiight. I can't even imagine a human or elf playing this. This very much feels like I've returned home.

Get her the Awakening; not only will the title make twice as much sense, but you'll also get to play as apparent dwarf messiah.  Posted Image

o_O Every save I can import for my DN, she is nude. She's not even wearing modded armor. Do the golems really want to see a naked dwarf lady that bad? Haha.

Maybe that's the problem? Prehaps something like the Grey Warden Runic Armour might actually import whereas Awakening armours don't. It figures that BioWare would screw that up.

Nope, she hasn't been through Awakening. I just wanted to play as her even though she's only done 2 treaties in Origins. She was wearing studded leather armor, in the save I tried to import. Oh well, she showed up in the armor the Orlesian warden gets at the beginning of Awakening, so it's not a big deal.

The black sentinel armor I got in Awakening imported fine. There was a book in my inventory that allowed me to respec my talents, but I can't recall if it was something I bought in awakening and kept or if this was included at the onset of the DLC. Good thing because this character had Death Blow before I realized that talent was what was giving that awful blue glow during battle. Dumped it asap.

Edit: My shield isn't showing up all the time. When I'm running around, I have both a quiver and sword on my back.

Darn you work hours! */e shakefist* Ah well, like Croker, my only completed Dwarf playthrough ended in an US. Looks like my Dalish gets a return appearence. Hopefully she won't loose all her gear again.

Looks like I just might have a replacement amulet for the Pearl of the Anointed finally. Shame the Regard doesn't have increased monitary gain. That's the real reason I wear the Pearl.

Just finished the DLC. I'm not really sure what to say. If you're a dwarf lover (duh), then you'll enjoy this DLC. The layout was pretty similar to Kal Hirol from Awakening. I wouldn't start this DLC unless you have a good chunk of time to devote. Just like in the Fade, there are phases where certain items or doors would then be active and you have to remember where you've been and where you have to backtrack now that you're in a different phase. I missed a few areas because my brain said I already been there, but I forgot that I hadn't been  there in THAT phase.

If you're not a dwarf fan in general, then this DLC will seem like a generic hack and slash. If you already hate the Deep Roads, this isn't going to help. Dwarf fans will gobble up whatever extra lore we can get, but it can seem like a waste of time for other players.

The Leliana DLC is still best one available. The Golem DLC is on par with Return to Ostagar. Hack your way through, get some cutscenes/commentary here and there, find some loot, defeat the big bad, cue end credits. I am likely to bring my other dwarves back here, but not my elves or humans.

The only thing that carried over from origins/awakening was who you put on the throne for Orzammar. Nothing else got acknowledged.

And this is a minor quibble, but it seems they keep recycling the same dwarf model -- the main dwarf in this story looks just like Tuck in the Leliana DLC, minus the face tattoos.

I don't think I'll be able to finish this DLC... the minute everything went blue I got a pounding headache and had to go lie down.

I dunno what it is... the blue, the high contrast, the squiggly wavy effect...

If you play as a dwarf do people recognize you, or are you just the warden to them?

Just warden. There's nothing extra, as far as I can tell, for being a dwarf player. The dialogue seems aimed at all three races and you're there because you're "the warden." You have three people in your party. That's exactly the amount of people you meet in this DLC.

I imported Aidan. I don't think I even got halfway through it. I'm not a puzzle fan AT ALL, and my hatred of the deep roads won out. I may try it again later, but I got so frustrated I couldn't do any more, and I am a dwarf fan, but level of frutraion > my dwarf love I guess...lol

I imported my Orlesian dwarf warden over. With my DN, I got "King Harrowmont said you could help, etc." With orlesian, there's no default dwarf king. Just a generic "they said you could help, etc" line instead.

So is the DLC a must have a meh, or somewhere in the land of Dwarf lovers only?

Also has anyone tried importing an US ending into it yet?
