Golem DLC is up now. Need to download it via their DLC site rather than download tab in-game, it seems. Here's the thread. Off to download and get THE HIGH REGARD OF HOUSE DACE. =p

I can't even imagine a human or elf playing this. This very much feels like I've returned home.

Get her the Awakening; not only will the title make twice as much sense, but you'll also get to play as apparent dwarf messiah.Corker wrote...
*headdesk* Great. Only dwarf playthrough I've finished ended US.

o_O Every save I can import for my DN,
she is nude. She's not even wearing modded armor. Do the golems really
want to see a naked dwarf lady that bad? Haha.

The black sentinel armor I got in Awakening imported fine. There was a book in my inventory that allowed me to respec my talents, but I can't recall if it was something I bought in awakening and kept or if this was included at the onset of the DLC. Good thing because this character had Death Blow before I realized that talent was what was giving that awful blue glow during battle. Dumped it asap.
Edit: My shield isn't showing up all the time. When I'm running around, I have both a quiver and sword on my back.

Just warden. There's nothing extra, as far as I can tell, for being a dwarf player. The dialogue seems aimed at all three races and you're there because you're "the warden." You have three people in your party. That's exactly the amount of people you meet in this DLC.Lisa_H wrote...
If you play as a dwarf do people recognize you, or are you just the warden to them?

Just finished the DLC. I'm not really sure what to say. If you're a dwarf lover (duh), then you'll enjoy this DLC. The layout was pretty similar to Kal Hirol from Awakening. I wouldn't start this DLC unless you have a good chunk of time to devote. Just like in the Fade, there are phases where certain items or doors would then be active and you have to remember where you've been and where you have to backtrack now that you're in a different phase. I missed a few areas because my brain said I already been there, but I forgot that I hadn't been there in THAT phase.
If you're not a dwarf fan in general, then this DLC will seem like a generic hack and slash. If you already hate the Deep Roads, this isn't going to help. Dwarf fans will gobble up whatever extra lore we can get, but it can seem like a waste of time for other players.
The Leliana DLC is still best one available. The Golem DLC is on par with Return to Ostagar. Hack your way through, get some cutscenes/commentary here and there, find some loot, defeat the big bad, cue end credits. I am likely to bring my other dwarves back here, but not my elves or humans.
The only thing that carried over from origins/awakening was who you put on the throne for Orzammar. Nothing else got acknowledged.
And this is a minor quibble, but it seems they keep recycling the same dwarf model -- the main dwarf in this story looks just like Tuck in the Leliana DLC, minus the face tattoos.
I hope you like red more. =pyukidama wrote...
I don't think I'll be able to finish this DLC... the minute everything went blue I got a pounding headache and had to go lie down.
--snip--
I dunno what it is... the blue, the high contrast, the squiggly wavy effect...
