Granted, it's only the casteless so most dwarves wouldn't care but they're not an unlimited resource either.
ANNNND THE COSTIN HUMANITARIAN DWARVA AWARD GOESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS TO... Sarah! Congratulations, come collect your prize.
You know I didn't mean that the casteleses were worthless and that it didn't matter since it was them. Rather, the fact that it was the casteless meant that most of the rest of dwarven society wouldn't care. The point was, one reasons golems were used was to save dwarven lives in the fight against darkspawn. Most dwarves would not be looking to save casteless lives since they don't care about them (to put it mildly). Even if they were willing to sacrifice a dozen or so casteless (however many it takes to create a flesh-golem) then they still couldn't build an army as, logistically, there aren't infinite casteless dwarves they can use.
I wasn't trying to imply any sort of morality to the issue and by 'only' all I meant was that from the other dwarves perspective, the casteless were a more than acceptable sacrifice. How, exactly, is saying that worthy of censure? Maybe it might have been phrased better but did you really think I meant it as a 'yes, let's sacrifice all the casteless to craft flesh-golems as I, personally, believe them to be worthless'?
