Although, Gorim's idea of eternal love does sound like that of an 18 year old Posted Image

Yes, all we need is to find out that Gorim met his future wife at a party and they both got drunk and he knocked her up. His future father-in-law got him a job and forced him at sword-point to marry her. Posted Image

Well, if you must know the truth is that she sparkled in the sunlight.

That's the sign of true love, don't you know.

If there's one thing that annoys me about the books, and this goes for Mass Effect aswell, is that some characters are completely different.

She was already a Silent Sister, right? So she has no dialogue? I do wonder how they'd handle that.

In a very clever but very simple way ;)

Now I'm really curious. Of course, I doubt I'll be able to get the books until Christmas and that's still four months away... Posted Image

And in other news, I am officially done with the competition. Although I may have gone just slightly overboard...I was inspired! Posted Image

I'm really enjoying my run with Lady Aeducan.  I don't feel as able to roleplay a dwarf as an elf, but she's BAMF and the Alistair romance stuff is terribly sweet.  I'll leave that for the Alistair thread however.  ^_^  One of the things I'm excited about is that I've finally got a character who rocks a dual axe build.

@Addai67 I agree with you on the Alistair romance stuff. He reminds me of how I was a long time ago when I was (and am still to some degrees) an innocent romantic who has a soft personality. I personally couldn't let my Aeducan romance Zevran at all. No, I had her with Alistair cause the chemistry works so well (him being passive, playfully sarcastic and innocent and her being strong-willed, just as sarcastic, and glad to take charge ;D). Because I'm not a fan of Zevran romance, my Aeducan ended up dissing him to re-assasination attempt (I personally loved responses such as "So you smell a cesspool and think of home?"). No offense to my fellow dwarf-enthusiasts who romanced Zevran, but as a player of Dragon Age, he just wasn't a viable romance for any of my wardens, except one female warden of mine, and that was mostly for the XBL achievement...

So yeah, get on with Aeducan dominance of Alistair's heart already! Hehe

My Aeducan romance alistair, it works remarkably well. I think it all depends on how you RP your character. Zevran really, really suited my Brosca. Everyone else was just ...no.

I want Varric to be romancable on my Hawke =( we need a sexy male dwarf too!

Heh, I like Zevran so I could have gone either way.  Honestly the romance mods available for Alistair make it hard to pass up.  And I do think exiled princess/ bastard prince has a certain charm.

She's siding with Harrowmont.  On my other attempt at playing an Aeducan, I felt like she would go with Bhelen because she did not want to be the one to end House Aeducan's reign.  This time I went back to Orzammar almost first thing and not only was it all more fresh, she talked to more people and realized that a lot of people thought Bhelen killed Trian.  The writing is on the wall that Bhelen is going to become a tyrant.  But as I said, it's kinda hard for me to RP a dwarf.  I don't have a fine feel for it.  No stone sense.  Posted Image

Re BAMFness.  I also took some nice shots of Dwyn and Oghren dealing the hurt, but must have forgotten to upload.  Will check back on those.

In the meantime, Lady Aeducan takes out the garbage, using Gorim's sword.  That hurlock behind her will get his, too.

I was going to ask about armor recommendations.  I would like to get her back into dwarven armor, but with a DW warrior fatigue is an issue so WCA is too good to pass up atm.  Any thoughts?  I am still mourning the loss of that Aeducan armor.

Yes. She sent me a preview image right before sending me the actual card but it hasn't been up on DA until about an hour ago.

No comment. I don't think it's fair on those who haven't read the books.

I think whether Utha uses sign language or, I don't know, written messages is probably the least spoilerific thing I could possibly have learned about the books...

@Sarah: your Aeducan, Aunn, looks amazing! DAMN Aimo does awesome work with Dwarves! Also I want to say that Aunn does not look like Anora except for the hairstyle. The face is completely different and actually better-looking than any Anora fanart I've seen. I'd say the comparisons are due solely to the hair, which is a very "Queenly" hairstyle.

Soignee, Addai: I know its all personal preference as far as Alistair or Zevran goes. I think that was part of my point. One thing is that I personally didn't like Zevran's personality, from his sexual depravity to him being a wanton womanizer, and part of that is the former nice-guy in me, and generally nice-guys hate guys like Zevran because guys like that don't seem to or don't actually care about the women they're with yet they're so successful in keeping those women regardless. Now, regrettably, I'm much more of a cynical A-hole then I used to be, and it took a lot of betrayals and backstabbings against me to get there. But anyway, I know Zevran is more complex than that after playing out a romance with him, but more often than not I didn't have the patience to play that out due to how much contempt I have for him.

Ok, I got WAY off-topic there. My apologies, back to topic:

And I do think exiled princess/ bastard prince has a certain charm.

I totally agree with what you said, Addai :D. That is partly why my Aeducan, Sundira, wanted to keep Alistair away from the throne. She totally sees the stolen royalty aspect of her's and Alistair's backstories as saying that they were meant to be... As Grey Wardens, and as lovers, forever until death. At least that's how I roleplayed her
