He's kind of annoyed at you for killing him and insists that he had no choice since she 'owned' him and you would have done the same thing. I actually got kind of annoyed at his blatant refusal to take responsibility for his own actions, especially as he didn't just go along with betraying you but luring you into the trap at your old house where you get the trinket you need to enter the real hideout was his idea.Zjarcal wrote...
I got a question for those who've played as a DC. In case you did the Gauntlet after Orzammar, how did you feel watching Leske's spirit after his betrayal? I have never played a DC so I don't even know how exactly does his betrayal go, but my guess is that I wouldn't be feeling too warm towards him after that.

PC: Why have your people retreated like this?
Imrek: They hide because they are dwarves. (Haughty. "They hide because they are dwarves and dwarves are cowards who squat underground.")

Hah, I always get it and his head is the first thing that goes off.
Back to the Leske thing I brought up, I'm surprised he's annoyed that you kill him. What were you supposed to do, let Jarvia run you over?
What Corker said makes sense, about her DC feeling she would've ended up in the same position as Leske. It still seems like he could've at least stayed out of the whole "tricking the Warden" thingie.

And this is the specific dialogue path I was talking about for Leske sounding annoyed:
Also...why is Leske talking about the Maker? It's weird.Leske: Hey. What's shapin'? (Casual, friendly)
PC: Hello, Leske.
Leske: That's all you have to say? Not even a "Sorry I ran you through?" There's friendship for you, I guess. (Bitter)
PC: You had it coming to you.
Leske: You never really cared about us. Knew you were meant for greater things. Up there. The surface. (Bitter, a little spiteful)
PC: You know I had to leave.
Leske: Is it really so difficult to say how you feel about those you left behind? (Regretful) They say the Maker knows your heart, no matter how much you try to hide it. Goodbye, my friend. Remember me. (Trying to be cheerful, sincere)

And it is weird to hear Leske mentioning the Maker. You're both dwarves, why on earth bring up the Maker?

Asking why no one can go in is a valid question, I just hate the way it's phrased. Retreated has a lot of negative connotations, after all.Zjarcal wrote...
I never thought the line "Why have your people retreated like this?" was rude. The way I asked it was more like, "Why aren't you allowing anyone else to enter?". That's how I've always seen it. I can see why you'd think it's rude though.
And it is weird to hear Leske mentioning the Maker. You're both dwarves, why on earth bring up the Maker?
Even if it's not really Leske (and gauntlet!Tamlen confirms this), he still helped me figure out Andraste's significance on my dwarven characters. He calls her a human Paragon.

I figure it was a loyalty test. "Are you in the Carta, Leske, or out of it?"
gauntlet!Jowan will also hypothesize that he's some combination of Jowan, mage!Warden's memories of Jowan, and Fade Spirit. (He even suggests that you're in the Fade, which had my Surana looking around for the Black City.

Not sure if it wouldn't affect dwarves the same way in that regard. The game only tells us they are immune to touching the raw lyrium, but they still suffer greatly if it enters their body.

Young Dwarf 2: Lyrium dust? Isn't that dangerous?
Young Dwarf 1: No way, not if you're Miner Caste! Come on, let's sniff it! It's like flying through the Stone!
Young Dwarf 2: I don't know. That doesn't sound like a good -
Young Dwarf 1: Come on, what are you, some sniveling duster?
Young Dwarf 2: No, man, I'm just... you know... saying...
Young Dwarf 1: You're scared!
Young Dwarf 2: No I'm not!
Young Dwarf 1: Then do it!
(Ominous close up of lyrium dust. Young Dwarf 2's head suddenly obscures it as he leans over a pile. Sniffing sound. Pull back. Young Dwarf 2 has his arms thrown open wide and is staring at unseen visions.)
Young Dwarf 2: Wow... I never... wha...wha... oh....
(Young Dwarf 2 collapses. Young Dwarf 1 drops down next to him, shaking him and calling "Durin! Durin! Fade the sound out as VO begins.)
VO (get a serious Warrior Caste-sounding guy): Lyrium dust. Just because you're a dwarf, or even a miner, doesn't mean it can't hurt you, damage your mind, or even... kill you. Don't let your friends tell you otherwise or you might end up... a lyrium duster.

Any time until 10-11 is great, mostly because I sometimes don't even visit the forum here after midninght and only notice the messages in the morning (even though I go to sleep at around 1... which is now actually... hmm)
I don't really mind, but I was having some serious lulz reading this :

Edit: According to Google it's 6 AM there? That's eight hours ahead of me.
