Man, I totally forgot Witch Hunt is out today! Can't wait to get back to the UK so I can download it and Golems. Soooo I know people have said it's one long dungeon, but is it any worth? I wanna hear it from dwarf fans. Is there any story to speak of?

Not really any story, typical lost expidition gets killed thing.
The Harvester is sorta scary though.

Overall its a dungeon crawl with no real choices at all.

Ah, WoW. Possibly the one thing I would change about DA dwarves (besides the horrendously wide faces) is give them all Scottish accents. I know, I know, people hate the Universally Scottish Dwarf - but I love 'em.

Ooh BTW - the Gorim companion mod is finally up. I'm playtesting it now but have to get through Lothering first - I'm imagining something like:

Lady Aeducan: And now you can take your place as my second.

Gorim: Please don't ask me to-- oh wait, my leg healed. I AM YOUR MAN!

Lady Aeducan: *JOY*

The scottish accents in WoW are bad, by the way, even to my softy English ears. About as Scottish as me, really.

Anyways, Gorim mod update! I ran it with my DNF and got him to become my second again when I met him in Denerim. Here is the hire conversation just before he normally tells you about his leg (and wife):


This is the party picker right after hiring him. I love how he stands right in front of my Aeducan - protective to the last! Or maybe that's just me.


He doesn't have VO beyond basic lines but the dialogue's pretty well written. This is when you click on him:

He stands next to Bodahn, by the way. Apparently dwarves have an exclusive "corner" in camp. Only Shale gets to stand anywhere near them.

So yeah. Apparently he has a personal quest in the deep roads too but I'm getting there. The mod lets you recruit Jowan too - so that squeeing you hear in the distance? It's mage and dwarf fans. (And, uh, me. Cough.)

Oh, sounds interesting. And I love the line in that last screenshot. I am a little curious why you have him addressing you as 'Warden' instead of the 'my lady' or 'my lord' that he does in game, though.

Edit: And Shale might as well be a dwarf anyway.

LOL I thought you might like that Sarah. He's fully romanceable and apparently has unique gifts etc when you get to his personal quest. But before you get your hopes up - his sex scene is horribly bugged. Gorim has awkward digital sex with a bald f!Aeducan and the kiss takes place in what looks like a setpiece from the first Star Trek movie. It's still in beta though. Will keep you guys updated.

While I thought the Witch Hunt DLC blew chunks (unless the warden romanced Morrigan), it was nice to play my dwarf one last time and close the book. I did not pick the good ending with Morrigan because she was worthless in my canon game and did not provide any closure whatsoever in the DLC. My male Brosca went into the mirror with her. There was nothing for him to stay behind. He didn't even recruit dog in origins (mostly because I skipped RtO and just forgot to get him) so there was no abandoning the "new" mabari. My Orlesian dwarf was sent to investigate Morrigan's role in the death of the archdemon, but Morrigan was not forthcoming and only stated the obvious about worse things coming in the future. For an Orlesian or brand new character, looking for Morrigan is a huge waste of time.

I finished the Lair of the Shadow Broker this morning and I'm completely blown away by it. I love it so much that I plan on replaying it again. I thought it'd be a quick mission and a few token lines in the end, but it was SO MUCH MORE. Easily the best DLC for Mass Effect, wow.

I have been playing my first Dwarve Two Hander, and something comes to mind.

For their size dwarves have to be very strong really.



If someone that small can send a Qunari flying then a Dwarven Warrior must be pretty ripped.

I just find it strange that a person who is 4 feet tall, can knock a nearly 7 feet tall person airborne like that.



Then again it is the warden we are talking about. Although Kardol could probably do that too.

If you think that is strange, I remember seeing one of the elven guardian spirits in WH wielding a 2H sword. That looked funny.

Its just the one specific animation that has you knock a person airborne that I find funny.

Outside of that its funny to be the shortest person in a group but be the one who can kick the most ass.

Are you using a sword, battleaxe, or maul? If you want to look silly use a maul, which is unfortunate when the best 2-H weapon is the Chasind Great Maul.

The Weapon I am using is:

Starfang, with the Warden Commander Armour, and the Helm of Honnleath.









And while the CGM is the best Ageless, Yusaris, and Starfang are free.
