They do get to fight in the Provings together all the time, even against a single opponent. Does it say anywhere who the oldest twin is? Perhaps the older twin's gender determines what caste the twins belong in?

Might be, twins being seen as the same or something.

The whole thing might be an oversight on the devs' part. Sort of like Vaughan being referred to as Vaughan Urien and Vaughan Kendells.

It would be a pretty big oversight. I mean, one sentence calls them both warrior caste and the very next sentence says that their mother is a smith.

When a game has as much dialogue as Origins, there are bound to be inconsitencies due to changes in lore during development and whatnot.

Yeah, at this point neither does he but he's very embarrassed about it:

So does the King of Orzamar ever leave or go topside?

Or is that like the ultimate no no?

I can imagine Bhelen not doing it, so as to not really kick a leg out from under his platform as it was.

Leave Orzammar at the whims of the Assembly even for a few days? Bhelen would never do it.

But he does seem interested in strategy, or at least that's what he says before telling you what to do.

And risk losing their stone sense in the eyes of their people? Doubt it.

I never posted this to the dwarf thread?

I never posted this to the dwarf thread!

So, Riordan tells Lorelai Brosca that they should speak after the Landsmeet.  Despite her having plenty of time in her schedule, he refuses to talk *now* and she asks if she's going to want to throttle him later.  He admits she might.

He disappears without a trace after the Landsmeet, only to show up at Redcliffe.  Without a gorget or any kind of throat protection.  Lorelai points out this unfortunate oversight on his part, and he pooh-poohs it by replying that she's too short to strangle him.

She replies:

It is about bloody time for a non-gush/love thread that I can post in.

I see no point in Bhelen leaving for the surface since he can easily send representatives for diplomatic work with the surface.

Though I doubt he believes in the fairy tales about dwarves falling to the sky on the surface.

He doesn't have to. If everybody else believes he's less of a dwarf (or even just the common people) then it would cause problems and if he could easily send someone else in his place why not avoid problems? Not to mention that the Assembly can't be trusted and if it's past the point that he dissolved the Assembly then literally nothing would be accomplished if he left.

Not to mention that he also angered a huge chunk of the warrior caste which holds positions within the Royal Guard and city guard patrols. Hmm, is there an special officer who manages the Royal Guards seen in the Royal Palace and are chosen by skill at guard duty, or are they handpicked warriors chosen by the noble family on the throne?

His butt is going to stick to the throne for a long time, unless of course he gets assassinated by a determined rival.

I think the Architect's plan was retconned. What he was doing in Awakening had little to do with what he was doing in the Calling. That's the impression I got anyways.

I was thinking more about Utha, to be honest :P

I'm not sure about the Architect. I can't work out if he's "good" or "bad".

She fights with weapons in Awakening (Understandable, although she could easily attack you with fists), she has hair in Awakening, and she didn't look like she'd actually been attractive (She's described in The Calling as being quite nice to look at). The only things they really "did right" were her emotional side and her inability to talk.
