Why does everyone ignore that they deliberately tell you there's nothing romantic, in the least elusive, romantic, shy way possible?  Nary a hint of "she's not my girlfriend!" It's like the writers realized the way their fans think and tried to stave it off...and it didn't work, I see.

Are you talking about Velanna and Nathaniel?  I haven't played Awakenings yet with my own Warden, though I did hang around some while my friend played hers.  Given that she wanted to romance Nathaniel...yeah, there was a lot of screaming at Velanna going on from her 

LOL!  My PC was already in love with Alistair, but I can't deny that I felt a hint of jealousy at some of Velanna's back and forth with him.

I do like the idea of having companions in relationships with each other. Reminds me of BG1 when Jaheira and Khalid were a married couple. It was almost gut-wrenching to find out what happened to Khalid in BG2. Same thing with Minc's witch. And for DA2, the big brother/sister aspect for Bethany has a lot of potential, that is unless Bethany is another Mhairi. Let's hope not.

Duh it's the hair. I mean, you'd never need to untangle, sprinkle some water over it to get rid of dust...and imagine the headbutt attack!

This is of course assuming we're combining Bethany's plastic hair + potential host.

It would definitely be interesting, albeit mean, to set Bethany up with one of the girls you're planning on romancing yourself, and then taking her away from poor Bethany. I imagine Flemeth would indeed be a better choice, they're both mages and they could possibly have a lot in common. I'd like to think that since Flemeth takes her daughters bodies, not the body of someone she's in love with, her being with Bethany wouldn't put Bethany in any danger. Plus, I can't imagine romancing Flemeth myself, so they'd both be totally free . So for all those reasons, I will support Flemeth+Bethany .

Well, I played DA:O as a female mage, and when I met Flemeth, I chatted with her a bit and she jokely said she could use having another "daughter" around.  That line is somewhat ominous in hindsight.

Right, but the line I was talking about was indeed directed at the PC.  Nothing came of it, obviously, but my point was that if Flemeth did take an interest in Bethany, I wouldn't assume she was safe.
