The combat sounds like it could be fun, and I'm glad that pausing the combat is still an option for console players.
One thing I'm really not fond of is the last thing mention: "The title screen already has a "Downloadable Content" option."

EDIT:
Wait, wait, wait. "Nasty" by a Greek comedy mask? That doesn't make the remotest amount of sense! Perhaps they really mean "snarky"?
Maybe they're talking about an expression...like you see the icon pop up as a mask making a face, and it being a snarl or something and them mistaking it for a comedy mask.

Other than the icons, no news here. Moving along.

I don't mean every tone available. Just a few more options would be nice, because I don't think three will cover it...

Do you think there'll be more tone options than "good", "nasty", and "badass" throughout the story? I mean, what about "cocky", "flirty", or some other tones?

There probably will be.

I'm sure there will be more options for different situations. The Edge wrote...

IGN actually had some pretty good coverage of Dragon Age: Origins before it was released last year, so I'm a little disappointed with this article. Actually, just the person who wrote doesn't seem to really be into the game, which is fine. But damn... orcs... sigh...
As far as big mainstream websites go, IGN is one of the few actually giving half decent pc coverage.

against an army of orcs. They might have been imps or goblins or
demons, actually. We're not nerdy enough to know the difference.

Wow you're soooooo coooooool IGN.

And i really hope it only had 3 options because it was a demo. New info with not enough cover scares me. =(
/edit.
And my fear was right, it was IGN who failed to do a proper press cover of the demo and the detail surrounding the dialog wheel.

I sure hope IGN is wrong about the dialog being simplified.

It's in a Dragon Age 2 screenshot, three options, no reading beyond three words.
It's Mass Effect.

The dialog wheel, I dunno.
But given the franchise awareness noted with the 'orks' comment I would assume a lack of familiarity with mappping abilities to buttons.

Yeahhh, that was basically my reaction. Seriously, IGN? Seriously? <_<
Nothing super duper new in the article, but thank you anyway for posting it, OP.

I actually missed that the first time. No way there will only be 3 options per dialogue... No way... *prays to Bioware Gods*
