They should get the guy that played Cousland in the Sacred Ashes trailer.

As long as it isn't as monotone as Shepard's, I'll get by

I guess it sort of boils down to that. If we get a non-gravelly voice actor who can actually express emotion, I'll be happy.

Although I trust Bioware has choosen a voice that is able to reflect all the angles the player is able to play Hawke as.

I dunno. I usually have faith in Bioware, but this voice thing has so much potential to be screwed up. I suppose I'll have to wait and hope to the Flying Spaghetti Monster that they made a sensible choice.

At the original poster; those links are funny. I definitely do not want  as the voice for Hawke. In Two Worlds II - the hero has a calm voice. An evil character with a calm voice is just cool as is a good hero with a calm voice. Of course some of the dialogues will probably make our character angry and maybe some of the evil dialogue choices will make our hero speak in a darker tone.
At Shepard_Lives - there is no flying spaghetti monster. However there is the best character from Dragon Age:
"Kill those Godless bastards!" - Pure epicness. I hope I see this character back in Dragon Age II with Hawke.

Hawke AKA Crazy Duncan + Killthosegodlessbastards man = The Army Of God, they can not be stopped.

Anyway; HERE is the REAL voice:

Would it be too much to ask for Jennifer Hale to do femHawke as well? She could bring back her Bastila voice for the role.

I heard Dude Hawke's voice at the SDCC demo. If it is anyone that BioWare has used before, I wasn't able to recognize it. It's not Mark Meer haha (or Sbarge). It's difficult to describe... not too gruff, not too sissy. Good acting from what I saw/heard. He had a UK accent (obviously). Bethany's VO was quality as well.

Umm...no.  I LOVE Jennifer Hale, and she was brilliant as femShep.  But even with the accent, I can recognize her voice in just about anything now.  Avatar, Metroid, KOTOR, now ME...especially ME.  I hear Hale's voice, and I either think "BASTILA" or "FEMSHEP" immediately.  I'm pulling for Grey DeLisle.

Well, that's a vote of confidence :wizard:  Now just hoping that femHawke's voice is decent too.

Grey DeLisle is wonderful.  She (and Frank Welker) are right at the top of the VO food chain (or they should be).

My Hawke will be a mage, and I will try to make him look like my avatar mage :P

My avatar mage was a calm, calculative blood mage, and I hope I can make Hawke the same

She's also Cinderella in new adaptations of her. But, I totally agree. I love Jennifer Hudson, I think she does an absolutely fantastic job as FemShep and Bastila, and she plays the part of Action Girl really well, but I've heard enough from her.

I know! The demo started without the character creator otherwise I TOTALLY would have rolled Lady Hawke. I gotta know what she sounds like!

Anything else interesting from the demo that we don't already know from BioWare?  And are you ABSOLUTELY SURE you don't recognize Male Hawke's voice from anywhere? :P

I didn't recognize it, but then again I'm pretty bad at recognizing voices like that. Kate Mulgrew definately returns. I think the dwarf from the concept art is voiced by Grunt's VO.

Edit: My other demo impressions are off-topic, so I removed them.

I think both genders should have normal, relatively pleasant-sounding, mid-range voices so that they can go in any direction. Given a choice, I agree with Sylvius The Mad because I absolutely HATE sounding like an idiotic thug, but I don't think they'll do that. It's more likely they'll pick a voice they think that everyone can like to some degree.

Of course, some will hate the voice no matter what, but you can't please everyone.

They'll please more people if they let us turn off the voice.

I wish this woman (www.youtube.com/watch) would do the voice for F!Hawke.  With a UK accent, of course.  I don't know if she's done voice work before, but she has read a few audiobooks and I love listening to her speak.  She has a very versatile voice with a great emotional range.

Both MaleHawke and FemHawke will be voiced by Wilford Brimley.
