Severl stories remain to be told, the main one I am interested in being the main characters search for Morrigan :P, is a sequel planned, on the same pattern as Mass Effect e.g surviving characters and decisions carried forward from saves?

There's been promise of 2 more years of DLC, so, I'm sure that'll all be covered in that.

Plus, I'm sure our fantastic community is gonna be cooking up some great stuff to really draw this game out.

They named it Dragon Age: Origins. That means that they certainly intend there to be a Dragon Age: Something Else Besides Origins.

Otherwise they just would have called it Dragon Age.

well true, the question still remains of Mass Effect style save game continuation if that makes sense.

Dragon Age: a dark promise lol

But it would alienate those who didn't make the deal with Morrigan.

The age is called the Dragon Age due to the reappearance of the dragons at the end of the age before. Maybe the arch demon was directly responsible for the reappearance of the dragons, and hence it is called Origins :P (never went passed the Landsmeet so I'm not 100% sure)

The origins is in regards to YOUR origins.    Note the specificaly calling each class start an origin.

Those are your origin stories.. yet the entire game is called "Origins" as well, would that mean that the entire game is about the origins of my character? if that were to be the case.. wth would the deed be that makes my character so legendary if this story is only her origin?

the thing is there are only 2 continuable endings that I know of,  deal with morrigan or alistair sacrifices himself, and it haas already been stated on this forum that morrigans story isn't done.

They didn't spend all this time developing a new IP for just one game. That being said, it all depends on how well Origins sells.

hmm any ideas? Judging by number of forum users, very well indeed.  EDIT just checked UK charts (ending 7th nov so in preorders and first day sales basically) No.2 behind Football Manager 2010.

Of course there will be. It's onyl the "origins"

Even in the end, when you read what has happened to others, you read about yourself and it says something like: but this another story to tell.

Don't hold your breath for DLC continuing the story in interim between game releases.  Similar was 'supposed' to be happen with Mass Effect as well.

Although one question, shouldn't there be 3 more Archdemons?  Urthemial, Razikale, and Lusacan.

Well...I'm sure BW would happily make a sequel to DA, but unlike ME they actually didn't announce DA as a trilogy.

So in the end it comes down to sales.

Let's hope DA sells well so we get a sequal / AddOn (or even better: both)

Archdemons aren't the only big boss possible. A greater pride demon could be serve as the main villian in the next.

"Origins" means game is the story of the Origin of a single epic hero - your main character. There are 6 potential origins FOR this 1 hero, but there is only 1 epic hero per game universe, them's the rules.

That means there could be Dragon Age: Middle Age and Dragon Age: Oldfolkshome lurking down the pipeline when they inevitably make DA a trilogy like that random Mass Effect thingymajig that I keep seeing random ads for. Oh, and its awesome that thingymajig is apparently a word in my spellcheck's dictionary... next to irregardless, I imagine.
