The game freezes and crashes every 10-15 minutes forcing me to save every 3. Is anyone else having this issue?

Since you chose to ignore the huge variations among PCs, don't you think you are making it impossible to make a WAG at what the problem might be?Riloux wrote...

There really has long been a (comparatively) standard report form for problems on PCs, when you ran a Search here, didn't you see people stating their problems much more usefully than you chose to do? .

Err, what? How do you know this person's playing on a console?
Anyway, Riloux, if you are on a PC, I had similar problems until I installed the .NET 4 framework on someone's advice somewhere else in this forum. It still crashes, but nowhere nearly as frequently. I have a few more slowdowns than I used to, but saving the game usually clears that up.

I have a similar error, only I just started playing and my game crashes the entire computer... It seems like a graphics card problem because the screen stops working (No Signal)
Running Windows 7 64Bit home premium

Gorath dude, I admit you have knowledge to a degree, and you would like to see things smoothly run here, but you are not staff, its not up to you how people post on forums.
Again as ive said before in another thread to you, let Bioware say how things should be done not you, unless you are the official paid mascot or something

When your screen goes black (no signal) can you ALT+TAB or CTRL+ESC back to the desktop? If so you probably have the game set to a resolution the monitor cant handle, it happens with widescreen monitors on 4:3 resolutions.

Are you using a dual-core prossesser? I used to have a similar problem, but then I took the advice in the unofficial troubleshooting faq that's sticked here and set the game to run on only one CPU. Still crashes now and then, but now with a 40-90 minute between each one rather than 10-20, and I've haven't had a BSOD since I've started doing this.

Be wary when you switch infinity to processes, if your CPU is lower than 2.6ghz per core, then on a single core the game may lag badly.
But to do it, while dragon age is running, ALT+TAB out of the game first, then CTRL+ALT+DELETE and then task manager, right click Dragon Age (daorigins.exe) listed on the Processes tab and set affinity, choose which cores you want to use and hit ok.

Look here people stop trying to say ti's an antivirus program or some piece of hardware in ones computer or it's the graphic drivers or any of this other **** and Bull BS people like to try and blame
This problem comes from the 1.04 patch...Simple as that.
These crashes did not start happening to this extent UNTIL that patch was applied.

Agree
Simple fix for this
Dont use the bad patch 1.04
Dont use the bad patch 1.03
dont use the bad patch 1.02
dont use the bad patch 1.01
oh wait a sec
dont play this game it has had problems from day one.
I just came back to this install patch 1.04 and low and behold it ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, dosnt work.
No suprise.
Thanks again EA Games you realy know how to make games suck.
Thanks Bioware you make great games, but dont have a clue how to market them so you leave that up to EA to totaly ruin the support for it.
I had less problems with the 1.03 patch, although its still realy laggy in ozamar and a few other places. 1.04 mad this problem worse from the get go. I guess ill spend the next 3 hr's uninstalling, and then reinstalling both orgins and awakinings, then redownloading eveything.
