7 9 and 10 were pretty much my favorites 13 im starten too enjoy alot now that i got the combat down pat and gotten use too it its really fun game and good story.

7 will always be my favorite but i also liked 8,10 and 12. i have 13 i layed it for an hour and got bored

I've tried a few...13 is the one I've spent the most amount of time working on, only to find out I didn't spend ENOUGH time...so I got to one of the final boss battles only to find out I couldn't beat the guy...if he crits even my sentinels once, they are dead.
But I never really got into the games. The stories never really appealed to me, and I find the characters to be completely unrelatable.

I've played a ton of games. I'm just a person that prefers story and characters to gameplay (even though I love the combat system and other elements of XIII). It may just be me, but I can play that game for hours and just not ever feel bored. There are very few games that I can say that for, and none of those are as good IMO.

FF9 is my absolute favorite. I've only recently gotten into the FF's, I've played 7, 8, 9 and 10, and 12. Eventually I'll try out 6, but chances are that it will have been blown out of proportion by fan's like 7 was.
The FF's are very good. Obviously, one has to realize that a japanese rpg is practically a completely different genre than western rpg's.

I don't understand the hate for 13, sure the stories linear but it wouldnt make since for you to just go around buying items from actual stores because you're a L'cie everyone is afraid of you, and then everyone says you can let the game play its self, i say try that against a shaolong gui or long gui and you're going to get smashed, oh well i guess its just opinion
