Hello, just curious - why are peopel so fascinated by Bethany?  I've seen all kinds of threads about her and how the writers can get her into a romance with someone.  Is it because she's the main female Companion revealed so far?  Or because it would add a deeper experience to be Bethany's overprotective brother/sister?  Or do you think people just think all female characters should become romancable?

PS: I'm very PRO ROMANCE, but was curious about all the attention Bethany is getting

 Some think it would make for interesting role play, some want to pork any female to some across. Most are trolls, I think. Personally, I thought it was an interesting concept, though one I would be unlikely to utilize. Gaider has made it clear that it will not happen, however, and it is probably best to end the debate over it or its origin.

As for people who want to romance their sister...? I don't know? The only thing I can think of to say is highly derogatory.

I would enjoy it more to take care of my little sisters romances than dealing with all those women jumping on my character... romances are nice, but people around here go totally nuts when they become topic...

Well for one thing, this game spans 10 YEARS...going without any kind of romance would be weird.

But I think all those reasons are a part of it. It would be fun to RP the (probably older) sibling, not that I would go to extremes. And just in general, it would add more depth and interest to her character. Same for all the companions, but she's the only one we know about so far.

I for one think the very idea is disgusting.....and very disturbing. It kind of makes me wonder about the minds of those who would even want this feature. Would they like to romance their own siblings?? I wonder.......

Hey, people wanted to romance Imoen.  Then...yeah.  AWKWARD.  Of course, it didn't stop romance mods for Imoen and Sarevok from being produced, though I suppose if you wanted to split hairs, being Bhaalspawn is different from being normal siblings?

...eh.  To each their own.  Thank you, David Gaider, for being sane and slapping squicky things like this, Cullen, and Warden/Broodmother down.

Eh.  It's a matter of personal preference, but I'm with Gaider on this one.  Any sort of bona fide romance with Cullen would be horrifically creepy, even before his ZOMG CRAZY breakdown.  For me, at least.  *shudder*

The (locked) threads I've have been asking for the PC to romance Bethany, so yes, they mean incest. I think the idea is that Bioware has done gay, lesbian, and bi, so why not incest as well? Apparently it's all the same.

I think you people are seriously mis-reading the thread title (or maybe I am, but I really don't think so).
"Wanting Bethany to have a Romance" is not the same as "Wanting to romance Bethany."
The OP even mentioned "being the protective older sibling" and "getting her into a romance with someone."
