I must say, as someone who really values physical collecting of memorabilia (and Mass Effect related merchandise) I would very much appreciate a physical copy of the ME2 Soundtrack to accompany my ME1 disc.
It'd be a match made in heaven....or at least...in a factory somewhere.
Okay, seriously now....is there ever going to be a physical copy of the Mass Effect 2 soundtrack?

I still buy CDs, it feels like I've gotten something, even if it clutters up the house. You get artwork, a disc to burn onto the computer, and superior quality sound files.

In addition to a physical copy, would it be possible to update the digital copies at some point, with, say a ME2.5 soundtrack. The music in Kasumi for example is quite good, I haven't played Overlord enough times to be able to call that out, but, would like more songs.
Bring Down the Sky also had some pretty cool music that was never released. In the age of digital distribution, would it be possible to release these, too? Maybe with a side salad of ME2 club tunes...

I'd love to get hard copies of the ME2 and Dragon Age soundtracks too, I can't help feeling that digital files are so...transient. They're available by the grace of itunes, and who knows how long that will last. They are, after all, game soundtracks, not the White Album. Perpetual availability seems unlikely. I enjoy liner notes and artwork, and being able to listen to high-quality sound wherever and whenever. You don't get that with downloads.
Unfortunately, it sounds like BioWare isn't even considering a limited run, or a print on demand option. So I second Funker Shepard's request for updated/complete digital copies. The lack of Afterlife's music was disappointing, as was the missing Inn theme on DAO's soundtrack.

My reason for wanting a hard copy has nothing to do with a dislike for digital copies.
The problem is that neither online music store will sell music in Hungary. I'm simply barred from purchasing digital music from iTunes or Amazon (and every other major online store) due to my country of residence. Perversely, ordering the same music from Amazon would be no issue if it came on a CD.

I'm just gonna say first that Mass Effect has taken up probably almost 400 maybe even 500 hours of my life... Not releasing a Mass Effect 2 OST and Mass Effect 2 Atmospheric OST on an actual CD makes me really sad =( I LOVE MASS EFFECT! I try and collect as much as I can from it I buy the clothes, the comics, the books, the game guides, etc. I just want those two OSTs on CDs... and you wouldn't even have to manufacture that many just make a limited amount like whats done with the lithographs. But please just PLEASE eventually make a CD... I'll wait forever to buy it, I had to wait two years to buy the first one (and I bet its real sad wishing it had some friends in my Mass Effect shrine area)
Okay so I realized the above makes me seem kind of like I need to get a life or something but really I just want this as a CD. It really bothers me when I see both walkthrough guides all the Redemption comics (along with the trade paperback limited edition) all the novels done by Drew K. and then just one Mass Effect CD... Let my collection be complete pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee =))

A physical copy of Mass effect 2 and dragon age soundtracks would go great next to my jade empire and mass effect 1 soundtracks.

I'm sad that a physical copy isn't likely. Trying to get these legit is a pita for those overseas.... just think of all the money you'd make from folks like me getting the physical verions.

"There is incredible demand for [[good]] videogame scores."
There is a handful of video game music that I would buy, and nearly all of them are from Japan. Not to put down currect composers, but having a great video game score that is listenable outside of the game is rare. There are plenty of tracks that add to their respective games. Unfortunately, only the truely great make great songs on their own. I can't even remember a track from ME2 right now, whereas I can recall any track from MGS.
Oh, and while it depends on the quality of your headphones, there IS a noticable difference between a 320 mp3 and flac. It may just be a placebo, and it may not matter at all if listening casually, but there is a difference.
