At moments when you use the mako. Have you ever just walked instead. I don't mean on UNC missions I mean on Therum, Illos and Feros. Did you walk to the ruins where Liara was trapped? Have you ever walked through "the creepy underground bunker? Have you ever walked on the path to the Geth Base on Feros? It would be hell...but...interesting lol.

Never. But I'm sure it works.... if you're that patient. :-)

Once on Feros, the Mako just disappeared after leaving ExoGeni, I had to walk all the way back. Interestingly enough, it reappeared when Elizabeth ran into the bunker where her mother is.

I did a ground pound on Virmire, worked but boring. I think I also did a Feros once, again worked but boring. Both were on a soldier run, so nothing could touch me, meaning I was tougher and more powerful than the Mako, but was slower getting there. The main reason I use the Mako is speed getting to destination. Of course once I hit level 60, I just blow past anything I don't have to kill to survive.

Yep, except for Ilos, you need the Mako to pass through the conduit.

You wouldn't be able to get to it in time on foot.

I typically get though it with five seconds left on the timer, no way you'll make it on foot.

Yeah, that part at the end of Ilos has to be done with the Mako.

- Quick, we must find Saren before he reaches the Conduit!

- Yea, yea, I know... you know what, let's just get out of the Mako and take a walk. The weather's rather nice...

(O_o)( ^_^ )(o_O)

- Ok, Shepard, what the ...?

Seriously though, I can understand walking (i.e. not running) around Citadel, Hanshan and such, but jogging through the sections specifically made for Mako... no. Besides, I happen to actually like Mako and drive it around every chance I get.

Actually you can walk Noveria, you just need to have a set of Devlon Industry armor on one of your party members to deal with the level 1 cold.

Oh! Is that why my soldier suddenly became immune to weather? I did not know that. Are there any other hidden armor abilities that I don't know about?

Phoenix armor has an "undocumented" regeneration bonus.

Incidentally, it also has an ability to make Wrex look pretty silly.

I hate Phonenix armour. Even if it was the most powerful armour in the world I wouldn't wear it to keep my pride intact.
