Welp, there's always monday~!
It would be Tuesday or Thursday. Since day 1 Sony updates games and the PS3 on Tuesday or Thursday. It seems like Tuesday is the more norm now vs. Thursday which was the norm about 2 years ago.
Could this patch take as long as RtO? HOPEFULLY NOT!

Actually, I feel like the game is getting worse and worse. Playing my elf mage side character, and many times, if not almost always, the party members are NOT attacking. Normally I set my first tactic for each character to attack the nearest target; is it truly not assumed that AI does such a simple task as this in the game?
Interesting that you mention that, I've been experiencing that as well. So much now that I'm actually talking out loud "WTF Alistair, Leli, Zev..etc.. why aren't you attacking?!"
I didn't have this problem at all before.
i've had this happen frequently in the last few months. hope the patch fixes it when we finally get it.
Ive started to have this problem aswell and the freezes seem to be more frequent, hope the fixes in the new patch sort this problem, cant have my team standing around instead of kicking ass

I just want them to make sure there are no issues before releasing it. :innocent:

I also don't want my 40hr save to suddenly become unplayable. =(
Some general status updates would suffice for now.

Seems Sony's just take'n their time with it or Bioware left the certficate papers between the car seats like they did with RTO (i know the truth bioware~!!)

From what i skim read, it had sumth'n to do with the new slim 360 that messed it up (bit similar/opposite to how that network screw up a few months back effected the old fatty ps3's primarily)

My PS3 fat didn't get affected by that for some reason. Of course, i wasn't playing it at the time even though it's constantly connected to the internet and i unplug it when it's not in use.
As for RtO, i think it's easier for Bioware to do things for the PC/360 then it is the PS3, hence the delay in release. Shrug...it was worth the wait imo.

So, my question is since the Xbox 360 version patch caused some serious damage on that version did the Ps3 patch get pulled for further testing? I mean on one hand I'm getting a tad i impatient as I'd really like to play Awakening with everything patched buuuuut...

I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't get tested thoroughly considering all the complaining going on regarding the PS3 version of DA:O(yes, some of it is deserved)....never mind the 360 issues that popped up.
I am also waiting patiently for the patch for my first play of Awakening. Shrug...i got a ton of other games to play, and DA:O isn't going anywhere yet.

Yeah, not too worried about it. I got to get 3 characters through the game before I'll be ready for Awakening. Not to mention Kane and Lynch 2 and Metroid : Other M coming out and stealing some of my time.
Well, lets just hope it drops alongside the new Golems DLC on the 10th.

I have noticed this problem only when playing my elf mage at the end of July. I haven't even touched the game after beating it with my official character Bahlgan Cousland, and WILL NOT touch Awakening or ANY sort of DLC until the patch comes out. So may the Maker go with you Bioware, because I am a waiting seer, I am one of the smart guys

Yes, the patch was released early this morning (yay!). Sorry for not giving a heads up earlier, but at least we hope this helps resolve some issues and improves the game for you.
