Whuuuuu??? I just realised I can't work out how to uninstall the game! It doens't show up under add/remove programs or the start menu, and the launcher has no unintall button. Shoddy stuff, Obsidian. Help anyone?

Uninstall NWN2? Why man why?!

Seriously though, there's the old Add/Remove Programs (or whatever Vista changed it to) for things like this.

But more seriously; why man why?!

That sucks... NWN2 is a long install process. If you ever plan on coming back to it, I'd suggest looking for something else to remove to free up space.

If you open up the disk and click on Set Up, you'll probably find the uninstall option there.

I can verify that on my WinXP (SP3) OS that I also have no Add/Remove Programs icon to use it to remove or uninstall the games. Which, to me, is odd, because just about everything else under the sun does. Go figure.

I guess the Obsidian Team figured you could just wipe it, delete them old files all on your ownsome == or they just figured you'd never want to part with it until the drive died -- or something.

I have Vista here. If you wanted to remove it and have that OS, you can find it under Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features. Scroll down to NWN2, select it and hit the Uninstall button just above the program listing.

Use the Windows add/remove functions to remove NWN 2.

In XP, it's in the Control Panel, just look for Add'Remove Programs, scrill down to Neverwinter Night 2 and highlight it with a single lef-click, the selelect Uninstall from the options given.

In Win 7, look in the control panel and open Programs and Features. Scroll down the list until you see the program you wish to remove and right-click on it. You will get a short menu that offers the opportunity to Uninstall or Change thr program.

No Selene, it's not. Not on mine. That's why I posted that I can VERIFY that it isn't in there. Nothing in the Add/Remove panel. Not NWN, not NWN2, either. Of course, I tend to do 'odd things' when it comes to installations and migrations, that sometimes, Windows doesn't like. I don't mind that. I still hate Bill Gates and Co. for removing File Manager. *(which, by the way, can still be used if you install it from the older installations... just FYI.)

Hmmm... very interesting, obviously something of a puzzle. I do recall that some users did have problems uninstalling NWN 2 in the past, but never heard of it not being available in the Add/Remove Programs tool. Usually people were telling us that they had uninstalled it, but when they went to re-install NWN 2 that the installer would stop and state the program was already installed. WE did publish information in the old Tech Support forums for how to circumvent that issue, and may work here in this case as well.

Try the On Removing NWN 2  post in the Tech Support (Self-Help) Starts Here topic.

It's in the nwn2 directory

If you go to start -> All programs -> atari -> neverwinter nights 2 -> Uninstall

You will find the uninstaller inside the atari directory (in your program files) as well.
