One thing that always bugged me in Origins was that no matter where you set up camp the campsite was always looked the same, what I was thinking is how cool it would be if the campsite changed to reflect the area you were camping in, if you set up camp on a snowy mountain or a barren desert the campsite should reflect that.

Also I cant remember how long Origins spanned but I remember Wynne saying how it had been almost a year since I had left the tower yet the environments never changed to reflect the seasons apart from Ostagar in the DLC. Since the story in DA2 spans over 10 years I assume that the world is going to change a fair bit over that time period but will we experience the Free Marches during different seasons or will it always be the same season and every time the story jumps a year or so it will just skip the other seasons?

Naw.

More story!

More room for more story!

Not graphics that will ultimately be under appreciated and ignored after getting use to it.

two things:

there hasn't been confirmation yet about a camp zone, so we don't know even if there's such a thing in DA2. Maybe we'll get safehouse, a cavern, or nothing at all.

and if the story is divided in chapters, maybe we'll not go twice to the same place, so you won't get to see the same zone in summer and winter to see the changes.

this post is silly, having or not a camp doesn't affect at all the quantity and quality of the story and sidequests.

Who did ever say there's going to be a campsite at all in DA2?

Seriously, just because something was in the first game doesn't mean it's going to be in the second.

It would have to be one hell of a story to make a game on its own, seriously I dont expect the devs to take up my idea but you cant sacrifice everything else for the sake of story. If you want a product that focuses only on the story then buy a book, however a game needs to be so much more than just a story.

I think it'd be cool if the environments themselves reflected changing seasons, which is totally possible in a narrative framed in segments like this. I'd especially love to see an autumn setting. I feel like summer and winter are much more common in games.

I never assumed nor expect Bioware should put in a campsite, however if they do it would be nice to see them do what I suggested.

Also maybe we wont see the same areas twice but that to me seems like wasted potential, a lot can happen in 10 years and a lot of people would love to see the changes that happen in those 10 years, if we are just traveling from place to place the writers might as well span the story over a month for all I care, if we arent going to notice a change the passage of time means nothing (well apart from the characters growing older).

I like the idea of specific places where you talk to your non player characters. There is always party camps and different areas to play in any order. Most of their games play the same I'm glad they are changing it up a abit

Where to spend your resources is always something Bioware has to worry about.

For example, voice over and facial expressions are something important to devote time to because of how important dialogue and NPC interaction is to the game.

I think Camp is worth improving as well.  It was one of my favorite enviornments in Dragon Age Origins because of all of the interactions there.  It would be cool if it changed over time.  And it's always cool when it relocates, like when you move to Denerim and to Redcliffe for awhile.  So working more of that sort of thing into the game would be appreciated and probably worthwhile.

I dont remember anyone saying that there was going to be a campsite in DA2 however I dont remember anyone saying that there wasnt going to be a campsite, this thread isnt about debating the existence of a campsite in DA2 it is a thread about if Bioware did make a campsite in DA2 what could be done to make it better.

I think Bioware needs to loosen the purse strings a bit, there are a lot of areas in their games that need work and if they perhaps spent a little more money and gave the game more time to develop they could make some truely great games instead of just average/good games.

Hopefully if they hit MMO gold with TOR they will have a bit more money to spend on development.
