More possible: a line from/about the Fereldan ambassador sent by King/Queen Alistair/Anora/Cousland.

I even saw an "I [Dragon] Alistair" T-Shirt in the crowd, and it was no surprise when she asked if any characters will be making a return appearance. I wonder which one she was really hoping to see....
My answer: "You'll see some familiar faces. I don't think you'll be disappointed."
Which leads me to believe that yes, Alistair will be back. (Hopefully)

NO! I've executed him for a reason! No necromancy please, this douche is to stay dead.
I'm pretty sure that if you killed Alistair he won't make an appearance, or at least I hope so, seeing Wynne in awakening was rather odd

Probably yes, going by this. But I doubt it'll be a major role. Hopefully more than we got in Awakening though.

We'll never see the back of him...

I can see some prequel-Alistair action, though. Perhaps he's the Templar who sets Bethany on her course (whatever that is)...

Seems really, really unlikely. He'll be rather busy killing darkspawn, being king, or drinking himself stupid.

Or his headless corpse is rotting in the ground.

He should totally be a romance option because so many girls loved him...And...well...it would be funny to see the reactions on how he can cheat on the warden with hawke.
Sure but only if they do the same with Morrigan so we can watch her fanboys have aneurysms over it.

Though I wouldn't blame him if he decided to get away from Queen Anora for a while.

Everyone who romanced morrigan...will not really care...They knew the kind of woman she was and they are romancing her again...thats what they think about...Anarya wrote...

In my Awakening I haven't met Wynne, because I've killed her in Origins. Later on I've read in DA wiki that Wynne will be in Awakening if you let her live in Origins.Link3521 wrote...

Some (overzealous?) wikipedia editor already lists Dragon Age 2 under Steve Valentine's acting chops.

Considering Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, yeah take it with a grain of salt.

She was still in awakening the time I did kill her, that's weird

Since it picks up on saves from the previous games, it would be awesome if the game drew some parallels into the story. Like hearing news that [insert your character's name] just defeated the Archdemon, or became King/Queen. Or even getting to see your character march by with his/her guards or companions at some point in time. Or in the future, getting to meet your character with their love interest, maybe a child.
But... who knows.
