Yes! He was just as bad if not worse than Morrigan.

That last part would be kind of difficult for my Warden, since he's D-E-D dead.Reyno411 wrote...
Or in the future, getting to meet your character with their love interest, maybe a child.
Wait, that's not right...
Anyway! My Warden was the ultimate martyr. He convinced Alistair that he could be a strong king, he convinced Alistair and Anora to marry and preserve Ferelden's unity, he spared and redeemed the traitor Loghain, and he refused to use dark magic to cheat his way out of his fate. It was the most satisfying character death ever.

You have no idea whether or not your journeys will lead you to Denerim, if he's king, or anywhere where he's Grey Warden-ing--it takes place over the course of ten years. I'm sure you won't meet him during the Blight, but the game doesn't just take place then. Why is this slipping everyone's mind?
We already know that whomever we chose for king or queen is kept through importing--if that's the case, it wouldn't surprise me if you eventually meet Ferelden's monarch. Personally, I have a feeling he'll return.
And while some people mentioned references to ME1 as being a little detrimental to ME2, I hardly think it brought down that many scores, or by that much. And I doubt DA2 will have anything other than a few cameos. I imagine you'll never meet Wynne, since she probably dies. You might meet Shale as a dwarf--that'd be nice. Meeting Morrigan...well, if we meet her it'll be big. If it's not big, she won't be there at all.
So, yeah.

I even saw an "I [Dragon] Alistair" T-Shirt in the crowd, and it was no surprise when she asked if any characters will be making a return appearance. I wonder which one she was really hoping to see....
My answer: "You'll see some familiar faces. I don't think you'll be disappointed."
Which leads me to believe that yes, Alistair will be back. (Hopefully)
Holy crap! That's new. Maybe there will be more familiar faces than I thought there would be. Good news, indeed. *Pauses to realize that Alistair won't actually look like himself*
Oh, and since all the folks who are going on about how dead he is know full well that Anora would appear in his place in their game, I can only assume general douchery on their part.

I'm pretty sure that if you killed Alistair he won't make an appearance, or at least I hope so, seeing Wynne in awakening was rather odd
The magic of importing savegames, if you killed him he is likely dead.
Altho DA2 is a 10 year span and DAO also took a couple of years befor the final battle, so the chances of meeting some of em are there i'd say. =)

Well, if your Warden is D-E-D dead and you import your save then I guess you won't be seeing him, will you? Same goes for people who killed Alistair, I guess.
Sometimes I forget to fly the paper airplane a bit lower.

Don't get me wrong, I love Alistair to itty bitty bits. But I kind of want to meet NPCs other than Alistair and Alistair Two: Cheese Harder in my games. Just saying XD

FFFFF:lol:
I expect him to be a cameo--a good cameo, hopefully--but not companion-level. Maybe he's even a quest giver. "The king demands Bleu de Termignon Alpage, and twenty bear asses!"

Wait you mean you can kill Wynne and she still shows up? Dammit Bioware how did you let something like this happen! Thats a total immersion breaker

Ah, yes. Bear meat fondue. A rare Ferelden delicacy

Didn't happen with my playthrough. My chantry loving, elf, mage hating bigot of a templar character killed Wynne, and she never appeared.

I wouldn't be surprised. However, I don't think he'd be a part member, since he'll only be alive in some games. No point in recording loads of dialgue or making scripts or whatever if only some people will see him. I reckon he'll be a supporting character.
Poor argument. DA:O and DA:A feature party members you can kill off the moment you meet them, refuse to let them join you or tell them to leave meaning you will miss out on the dialogue and scripts for those characters during that playthrough. The series is all about choice and what you are suggesting basically makes choice pointless. Also I'm pretty sure most people will have Alistar alive in their save games.

I knew that I could not be the only one who saw that!! I think that more Dragon age fans started getting wind that he was gonna appear in the second game. Dragon Age2 is no longer listed in his works.

Steve himself says the information is "news to [him]!"
Yes, he could just be covering, but I think it's much more rational to assume he's NOT in until we have some proof that he IS, instead of the other way around.
I played the demo at PAX and no there is no Alistair in it. There's not even any point at which it would be remotely logical for him to show up. You start out running from Lothering (but already well outside it), and end up meeting Flemeth.Shadow_broker wrote...

They may have seen Wesley, a short-haired Templar, and made some bad assumptions.
