Dave Gaider hinted very heavily we'd see a drunk Alistair.
I'm pretty sure we'll see multiple incarnations of him. As for people shrieking and blowing steam about seeing him, I wouldn't keep Wynne out of DA2 just because I hate that old bag. Some people would like to see her.
I'm sure he's not going to be a companion. As a cameo, sure, why not? He might not even appear if you don't import a game.
EDIT: Wow, I did not check to see how old this thread is. Evidently, I already posted.

He should totally be a romance option because so many girls loved him...And...well...it would be funny to see the reactions on how he can cheat on the warden with hawke.
Sure but only if they do the same with Morrigan so we can watch her fanboys have aneurysms over it.
I would pay to watch this.

Why necromancy? He could've been sent to cellar to deal later, then the darkspawn and Archdemon come, there's noone in dungeon and he just breaks free and leaves the town somehow ) No magic at all )))Lord Gremlin wrote...

Has BioWare said anything about possible appearances (in the squad or as NPC) about Alistair yet?
Ok....DA2 doesnt take place after DA:O. If memory serves it takes place "mostly" DURING DA:O. Which means at best you can hope to see the people from DA:O off in the distance somewhere as you're traveling and/or come into a place either just before, or just after them.

It seems to me DA2 takes place mostly AFTER DA:O since DA:O lasts for about a year, and Lothering was destroyed may be a month or so after the beginning (imho of course). Anyway that leaves us about 8-9 years to meet all those people we saw in DA:O )))Aradace wrote...

However an appearance from the un-killable Anora might be... interesting.

the beginning of the game takes place during the time of DA: origins, but i believe the the bulk of the game takes place a few years after those events (by the time we reach witchhunt which is basically one or two years after origins, i gather hawke will be almost halfway into his 10year adventure)

I get that feeling that whether you killed him or not, Alistair being king will be canon.
"canon" in Dragon age is what you decide on the game.
a default story on the other hand, will be chosen for DA2 for people that don't import saves but by no means it is canon

Sounds like a job for Zevran. He could take care of that little Anora in the tower problem for the right price.

Why do the Free Marches need TWO Circle of Magi?
Too many mages! Too many bloody mages to keep ahold of, so they built TWO TOWERS, conveniently inspired by the Lord of the Rings Two Towers book and subsequent Peter Jackson movie, and thus they are named after them! They sadly do not have awesome Orcish type of leaders with good voices, but drunken elves who don't know when to put the keg down, or bring it back up for another sloshing drink!
Alternatively, Senior Enchanter Sweeney's cousins, First Enchanters Toby and Ttevol, both equally as crazy as he is, only one is female, one is male, and they're both probably senile.
Possibly homicidal and/or murderous towards templars. You never know, really. Also, they are both secretly business partners in a Meat-pie making shop, with questionable ingredients.
...also, quick question Bryy. Why do you and Dave share the same..picture? It..vexes and confuses me so.

In my Awakening I haven't met Wynne, because I've killed her in Origins. Later on I've read in DA wiki that Wynne will be in Awakening if you let her live in Origins.
She was still in awakening the time I did kill her, that's weirdnot to mention that Oghren will appear in awakening even if you did kill him in Origins, which I haven't done but I hear it's possible.
Um, how exactly can you kill off Oghren in Origins? If you anger him enough in camp to get him to fight you, he backs off before either of you dies....
