I knew I should've staked his heart, bunt him at the stake, mixed his ashes with water, and slurped the mixture down.
We'll never see the back of him...

The problem with doing this is that eventually the mixture would come back out again in one form or another....and i seriously doubt that would hamper a necromancer.

In my Awakening I haven't met Wynne, because I've killed her in Origins. Later on I've read in DA wiki that Wynne will be in Awakening if you let her live in Origins.

She was still in awakening the time I did kill her, that's weird Image IPB not to mention that Oghren will appear in awakening even if you did kill him in Origins, which I haven't done but I hear it's possible.

Um, how exactly can you kill off Oghren in Origins? If you anger him enough in camp to get him to fight you, he backs off before either of you dies....

It is possible to kill him. I did that to check if Mhairi survives the Joining
Btw his body dissappears from the camp.

Wow, the discussion over the possibility of seeing Alistair didn't take long to turn into a hate thread.

Wrong forums?

Sorry to hear we won't be hearing Steve Valentine around. The guy has a voice I could listen to endlessly. And thanks for the heads up that you get to import. I assumed they would just start with a clean slate and present whatever timeline they chose since it's DA2 instead of an expansion to DA:O.

Maybe he has though. The tweets are from a bit time ago. Maybe he's not allowed to disclose it. :P

But then again, I would doubt any companions would make a longer cameo anyway, so a few lines might not seem important.

Also, it sounded as though Alistair will make an appearance. Spoiler:
Gaider mentions he may be a king or he may be a drunk depending on
player actions in Origins. Keep in mind however, that was given as an
example of what could happen in the sequel from past decisions.

However this gives me some hope )))

I think it was SirOccam that asked him the question on his twitter, was it not? The answer was "It's news to me" or something like that. He said he couldn't tell if he's joking or not.

With all the hints Alistair will be back, I'd be seriously disappointed if it wasn't Steve Valentine voicing him.

Maybe the living Alistair makes a cameo while us wardens are defeating intelligent darkspawn, killing flesh golems, and/or seeing Morrigan off to her destiny.  We are kind of separated for these events.  This would be a good time to have him appear briefly.  (Blink, Blink) Pwetty pwease?:innocent:

Not pathetic at all! An apperance from Alistair would certainly make me about 100% more likely to buy this game! Especially if it was a decent appearance too (not like Awakening where I felt totally ripped! But that is another story I suppose....)

I'll be seriously disappointed if they ditch Alistair... That guy really made DA:O for me!

Steve Valentine tweeted about the possibility of seeing Alistair, which also means he could do the lines as well.

Actually it seems pretty likely that he will return now, at least for a cameo.

From SV's Twitter:

"just saying.... Alistair may make a little appearance in Dragon Age 2...maybe...just a little...."

"In DA 2 I did a bunch of fun stuff, but how much interweaves with the game I don't know. Def not as much as the first game."

So either he was being tricksy earlier, or else he really hadn't recorded anything at that point yet.

The guy who voiced Alistair really did a great job. When I spared Loghain at Landsmeet, I really felt sorry for Alistair.

He really did. I thought his acting was the best in the game. Well his and Claudia Black's.

Wow good find! So i guess that confirms Alistair will make a brief appearance after all. Sweet.

SV tweeted first that said Alistair might show up "just a bit". Open to interpretation I think. THEN, he tweeted that he "did a lot of fun stuff" but not sure how much of it was for the story. Then said def not as much as the first game. Which would stand to reason. Anyway sounds like enough to get a pre order out of me.

That seems like he could make appearances beyond just being the saddest drunk in town.

If it is Drunk Alistair, does that mean that Drunk Alistair is canon to the DA world, had we not been the one making certain decisions in DAO? Hmm...

No, it means he'll show up if you got that ending. I don't think that's the only cameo of Alistair they're putting in the game.
