What race do you think is the Shadow Broker (if he is indeed an individual and not a group of people ) ?

Not human.

Not Mirandas father.

AND NOT THE BLOODY ILLUSIVE MAN!!

I think it is an inherited position or a number of individuals.

Potential plot hole if it turns out the Shadow Broker is a human. It's never stated how long the Shadow Broker has been around, but to have an information dealer with contacts and informants all around the galaxy and be stable enough in his position to be unopposed by the Council or other governments means they would have to be around a long time. I don't think this is something a human could do in the short time they've been a part of the galactic community. Has to be an alien. If it's a human I call plothole.

I believe it's a group of Salarians and Volus. Together, they seam to be one of the more inteligent groupings. I ignore the Asari because while they live upwards of 1000 years, Aria states that it's easy to out live a Salarian but not their record keeping. That makes me think the Volus would gather info because they don't seam to be much of a threat (Barla Von) and then pass the info to the Salarians to store or have them track down willing buyers for the info.

Humans in ME are a general plothole. They seem to be everywhere, on every settlement, planet, station, and in high positions. And they've been in the galactic community for 20-ish years. I call consistency failure.

I just had a slight geekasm when you said that.  I doubt they'd cast him as the SB but it'd be awsome if they did!

If he was infact an individual istead of a group then my geuss would be either a salarian or batarian.

I think most of humanity's expansion happened in those 20 years leading up to ME1.  If you recall it was our rapid expansion following the FCW which sparked the conflict with the batarians.  It's not that big of a stretch when you consider how far our technology leaped forward after the discovery of the Prothean bunker on Mars.

Eden Prime is said to lay on the border of the terminus systems so i'd say that all of the terminus colonies like Freedom's Progress and Horizon were settled during the two years when Shepard is in limbo.
