Obviously the Shadow Broker is Liara from the future having traveled back in time because the Reapers did attack and they won because Shepherd (and possibly the Rachni) were the only one doing anything to stop them. She's off her rocker and gathering resources to make her own fleet of Reaper-sized Normandys with quantum cannons and transphasic antimatter bombs. Also Mass Effect field nullifying rays.

I think the Shadow Broker is the Consort



Think about it, who in the galaxy has access to powerful people and all sorts of information at a drop of a hat. Plus on the galactic news feed it states the consort may be leaving the Citadel... going to the base Shepard invades I bet

I bet you all five dollars that we won't even get to see the shadow broker in this new DLC. Just because the shadow broker is just like the illusive man, but for the aliens. This is going to be a interesting if bioware doesn't give you any real information about the shadow broker. hehe.

I, too, would be surprised if we end up seeing and especially killing the shadow broker. This DLC seems more to be something to bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3, and I'd bet that the Shadow Broker comes in to play a big role in ME3.



Even if he doesn't play a larger role in ME3, killing him in a DLC would be odd, as it would indicate a larger plot point that many people who don't pick up the DLC would miss.

I hope Bioware throws a complete curveball and makes it a race often disregarded in the overall Mass Effect universe as a kind of novelty race, like an Elcor or Hanar. I'd actually love it to be an Elcor, it'd be really interesting to see one of those giant things in combat.



I think they're also considerably more intelligent and devious than would be immediately betrayed by their linguistic faculties, as evidenced by Harrot. Furthermore, they're probably the last race anyone would expect to occupy such a pivotal role; asari, turian, volus, these are all the usual suspects for this kind of thing, no one suspects the Elcor.

I had an entire thread about this about a could of months ago. Oh, was it fun debating about that. I agree with you 110% percent. I gave the shadow broker the data. I'm thinking of killing liara for this one.

i think if anything its going to be kirrahe from ME1, hes part of the STG so hes given almost unlimited access, if it is true i think that while in "the lair" you should hear parts of his speech, or if its any member of STG just to mess with us

It could be that secret member of the league of 11 or whatever they called it (The one that the STG hunted), it would make more sense then the Prothean explanation.
