common bioware, it'll take a day to make this DLC, and what? a week for microsoft to approve of it for xbox live... just make this crap already

seriously
youd think they would have designs already thought up from the development stage.
just pick some and make them.
not that hair.

you know i actually prefer the concept art that they have for things, everything not just mass effect, allot better than what they put into the final project... and here's some i found on the internet and in the art book that came with the collectors edition

like for example... the version of jack that they have really turned me off, at first i seriously thought that she was a guy until i heard her speak... but #7 i would take home with no questions asked

i believe this might be saren but it's so badass and i want it for garrus
Image IPB

Image IPB

i apologize for the lack of quality on the last three, had to take them with my webcam because i couldn't find them on the internet <_<
so i dont know if you can see it but the legion on the right looks so badass, i want him to look like that.
Image IPB

even though i hate tali with a burning passion she almost looks angelical in this one
Image IPB

ok so on the left is concept art for TIM's suit. wouldn't mind the 3rd from the right or the one they gave him as casual wear for male shep and the 3 on the far right is of course miranda when they originally made her blonde, which i would have preferred myself as well... but the top right one i would love for an alt appearance of her, please give the option to make her blonde too, or for casual wear for femshep
Image IPB

see bioware your artists have made great pieces of art so why dont you use them?

This has been mentioned before. I agree.

As for the "nickeled and dimed" complaint, consider that while ME2 was a commercial success, it wasn't a blockbuster. It sold what, 3 miilion copies? Other, much worse (IMHO) games had three times or more in sales.

However, ME must have a loyal fan base that is buying this DLC. Otherwise, Bioware wouldn't keep making it. That increases the game's profit margin.

Like it our not, this sort of thing helps Mass Effect survive. It also allows more creative risk. You can try new things in DLC at little risk in development costs. Kasumi's mission, for instance, was a definite change of pace. Not everybody liked it, although most complaints was that it was too short for the money. It allowed people to try something new, however. I'd buy it again just for Kasumi's character and the credits. Also, I'm intrigued to see what happens. I let her keep the graybox.

ehm- thepieBaker... no offense taken if it was a mistake

if anybody has any better quality shots of what i took with my webcam, please post them so others can see:wizard:

Those pictures are why they should make a large retail book for the art of mass effect.

you mean #5 on the first set? yeah it looks really good... my only guess as to why they went with the belt bra was they wanted to continue pushing the limits like they did with the romance scenes in the first one... would have been better if jack actually had boobs

For the first images of Jack I like the second row 4th in I'd wear that outfit for FShep too. Also the evil Turian is cool it could be Saren I did think Saren would be in ME2 but he wasn't . Tali's art looks bad so I'm glad they didn't go with that and Samara's red look is better then the game she looked more like a stripper in the game with that neckline.

why would he be in ME2 when he put a bullet through his head in ME1?

What would have been fair is to have made the Appearance pack include everyone for 160 BW points.

they shoud make costimiseable armor for whole team in me2

I wish that to be true. But it isn't going to happen... would mean adding, scrolls, tabs... ... some sort of storage system not previously found... maybe a way to interchange the pieces... a way or window to look at the individual bonuses.... mmmm sounds nothing like an inventory system... nothing at all. :P
lol
I wish too for that... ::innocent:

ur right that will never happen thats just to mutch  but  we all hope  bioware might surprise us

To be perfactly honest with you, I'm not on the bandwagon with giving squad members modulised armour for ME3 let alone ME2. I'd be far happier giving them full body armour (with helmets when appropriate) with interchangable upgrades which don't alter the look of the armour (a la ME1). Basically, I want my Shepards armour to be special and prototypical (is that even a word?). Imo, this not only saves space on the disc but makes Shepards armour that much more special.

No problem, maybe not add armors as a default.

Fore xample. Miranda, and Jacob default armor would be the cerberus assault armor. You can give bonus to them of different sets, like the aegis, or recon visor etc. But still the appereance of their armors do not change.

That would save alot of troubles. Having not interchangeble pieces but adding "5 bonuses" to each character. They spent god knows how long coming u with the time waste of planet scanning, they can come up with a way to add at least bonuses to squadies.

Come to think of it, not add armor pieces at all.

Jacob and Miri, have the default skin for my cerberus assault armor.

Grunt to have the battlemaster armor like wrex in ME1 with red colors... would be nice.

Zaeed,  have ....inferno?? lol duno.

Thane and Kasumi... dont remember what armor would qualify "infiltration"

Well you get the idea, not necessarily giving each characters individual pieces, but at least an entire set... now if they feel not lazy and want to go ahead and make all set available without interchanging individual pieces... then hell that would be fine.....

Now the "right" thingto do would be for it to be free.... since duh... is something that should have been there....high heels instead of combat armor... just no.

But of course that is only a dream they most likely would charge for it..... still if they do, cost... more than the appereane pack we purchased... and depending of how wide the range of armor sets or if even able to add bonus to squadies then I might consider it

I am one of the few people on this forum who actually enjoyed the first Appearance Pack.
I may like the default Garrus armor slightly better, but those new Thane and Jack outfits were huge improvements over their in-game outfits. I like the fact they gave the them more clothes and chose colours that go well with the characters.
In the future, I would like Miranda to get some real pants, Grunt to get sleeves, Samara to get some decent clothes (seriously), secret character (at least partially) fixed and certain character getting different DLC armor (different colour?) than similar character would be nice touch.

I enjoyed the glasses as well - Thane and his fish eyes were freaking me out every time and Jack looks imo better this way.
That said, I dont think there are other characters who should get glasses. Well ... maybe Jacob.

I have been wondering about the next outfit pack too, as i'd like to see some more variety for my squadmates.

As has also been mentioned here, i think each helmet option should come with a breather or something so you dont always get stuck with the N7 breather helmet.

This! You too huh? Image IPB

Yeah, totally agreed, I was SOOO hoping that the in-game secondary outfit for him (after his loyalty mission) would have that hole fixed... not sure what I was thinking, considering that Garrus's secondary outfit is all shot up, like his initial one.  You'd think that they would patch him up (heck, both of em)... but NOOOOO, that hole was messing with my OCD through the end of the game. AGH! Image IPB

I think probably cos the Appearance Pack "new" clothing was really really lame and a complete waste of money.
I doubt the broke even on it.

I haven't bothered getting it, but I'd be very surprised if they didn't break even on it.  I can't see it taking a lot of zots.  There was very little remodelling involved - it was mostly just texture-modding three outfits.  How many do you have to sell to break even on something that minimal?

Personally, I'd buy this if it gave team members proper armour.  However, since I'm mostly thinking of Miranda and Jack here, and Jack's alt appearance has already been released, I don't really see them taking this route with the other team members who lack proper armour.

It's the other way around for me.

hair....jack.... make it so she wears a wig.. or something lol:lol:

People need to quit the whole 'Jack with hair' complaint. She's not getting hair, and she's fine without it. You're squad is supposed to be diverse, not multiple Miranda-look-alikes.

See I disagree.

The way Bioware seems to be going under EAs auspices is that if they made money on it they would have milked it like a cash cow (like the multiple pay for Armour packs). There would have been appearance pack 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, all the way up to 21.

21 cos its a nice even number.

They didnt and they havent. Leads me to conclude they didnt make money on it. Cos its SUCKED.

I don't think that the Alternate Appearance Pack was a success, They probably broke even ( considering that the production cost must have been next to zero I fail how they could not do so) but it did not seem to generate the kind of money to compensate for the bad publicity that simple cosmetic upgrades as DLC generate.
If it was a success no doubt we would already have at least the announcement of the next considering that AAP can be cheaply produced during the whole lifetime of the game so that there is no reason to hold one back for more than one or two months.
@FitScotGaymer The maximum number of (different) three person teams you can make out of 12 is 220. If the AAP was a smashing success I cant see EA stopping before they made an AAP for every one of these combinations.(Even if this would mean that every squad-mate has 57 costumes to choose from)
