So we're discussing something that neither of us thinks is going to happen? Gotcha.

Except thinking something won't happen doesn't automatically reduce the chances of said something not happing to 0%.

If it did, our candidates and baseball teams would always win. ;)

Monstru, I don't know what to say. My first reply was to your 1st reply. The OP's question was clearly already answered before I got involved. So I'm not sure what your angle is, but if you don't agree with something I said, go ahead and explain why. This stuff about my reading comprehension, and saying I sound obvious and stupid, that's just weak.

If you had any reading comprehension, you would have already found out that I neither agree or disagree with you.  I'm pointing out your post served no purpose other than to state the obvious.  And OP's question was not answered.

Also, the least you could do is get my name right the second time.

This is neither politics or baseball.

They said that the PC version will have gameplay more close to the original game

I hope so... I really like DAO PC combat and would hate to see it dumbed down.

Well dan107, you can't have everything. Nobody can.

Let me say my basic point another way. Given relatively fixed resources, there are generally 3 competing factors in any software development; features, quality, and schedule. It is a zero-sum game (pun intended). That means to gain in any category, you would lose something somewhere else. Assuming that providing a "new combat system option for the PC" is an additional feature, I would rather they not do that at the expense of quality in the rest of the game, or a slip in schedule.

I don't see how an action based system would be any more difficult to implement than a slower paced one. Especially since it's already being designed, balanced and tested on consoles.

So the reviews from comic con are talking about the new and improved fast paced combat system on the 360 version. Will we get that on PC as well?

I sincerely hope so, since in DAO combat mostly consisted either obliterating everything effortlessly or pressing the pause button every 2 seconds waiting for the cooldowns to reset in the more difficult fights. A little more twitch based action would make combat a lot more engaging IMO.

How about you buy it on the console then? Go away.

How about you spare me moronic suggestions?

How is making combat more fast paced dumbing it down? If anything, if properly implemented, it ought to require more intelligence, because not only would you have to pick the correct strategy, you would have to do so quickly.

Apparently everyone confuses fast-paced and streamlined to dumbed-down because they're not used to it.  Much like the transition Mass Effect underwent from the first to the second game, everyone somehow missed having a bunch of useless powers and a broken shooting mechanic and the second they made it somewhat passable Third Person Shooter, they began crying about it.  Mainly blaming shooter fans for Bioware trying to appeal to the MW2 and CounterStrike fanbase when neither game remotely mimicked ME2's gameplay.

Whatever you do, whichever platform you play, to my best information Pause is still an option

If pause was the only thing they were changing, they wouldn't be making such a big deal out of it.
