Hi, I'm not able to trigger the Statue of Purification in the Temple of Four Seasons. I completed all four of the challenges but when I enter the room with the statue nothing happens. If there is a way to trigger it manually, could someone tell me how? I have the first statue, Gem Mines, and Keep done already. So I have 3/5 done at the moment and my version is 1.23.

You don't get an asterisk on it to use?

No, I don't. It might as well be scenery. I don't have a save from before I went to Arvahn, so my whole game might be shot. Arg!

I've only played it once and don't remember what happens. The walkthrough says nothing about the statue. Check to see if you got the special feat that goes with it. The door out should be unlocked if you triggered it and didn't see it. The walkthrough is on Gamebanshee.

IIRC, isn't there a conversational trigger at the doorway...stone-for-brains Casavir wants to be buried there? After you get through that you approach the statue?

You do still have Zhaeve with you don't you?

It had to be asked, sorry.

I don't think you would need a save from before Arvahn, just before that temple to try over.

Meanwhile, there is a way to fire those scripts, but I'm not the one who should be telling you - I'd be guessing.

[edit]  Well, well, well .... guess what still works in Google.

I've had a problem with one of the statutes of purification myself....best way to solve it is load up from an earlier save. Start over at the beginning (when you first get to Aravahn) then go the the statue where it won't work first.

I_Raps, I had seen that thread before when I searched online. It was talking about a problem with it not letting you select a statue because of combat status so I left it alone. But you were right, later in the thread there are a series of rs commands for debug mode that work. Problem Solved! Thanks!

I'm having the same problem as Anglo-American and I can't progress any further in the game as a result. I've tried the suggestions you've posted here, ShadowJ20 but they don't seem to be helping me at all. The 4th statue just looks like scenery and has no 'star' that comes up when I highlight it with my mouse. I've tried the Debug codes but to no avail. Is there anyone who can help me please? I have installed patches and now have version 1.22.1588 installed. Many thanks! Such a great game.

hi, ( no star, it's not Usable )

first upgrade to ver 1.23.1765 (by hook or by crook)

2nd, there is a quite small trigger around the statue in the Temple that fires up the conversation; PC must enter that.

3rd: if those don't get things movin', try this in DebugMode 1

rs ga_start_convo("24_sop_temple", "24_cs_statuetemp", 0, 0, 1, 0)

with your mainPC selected and no target, after Casavir gets his rant out :)

I think I know what the problem is now, unlike a year ago. When you finish the last book/chapter/whatever and the door opens to the statue room, your henchmen move in ahead of you and misfire the trigger. This can be a result of crowding (summonses, animal companions, etc.) or it can be an overanxious rogue rushing in to disarm some traps.

Redo it from that last room, but as soon as you kill the last sylph or statue, pause and tell everyone to stand still. Make sure your PC is the first one to cross to the statue (Peaceful Follow mode has always worked, but then you miss watching Neeshka disarm and unlock all the chests in the background during the Ritual;  for that, yell out "Attack" again just before you reach the statue).

going to cross-link w/ the other thread ....

'cause i'm still worried by the local_int, etc.

From that other thread:

Reading miklosselkirk's post, I think I know yet another problem here. When you complete that first room - the Winter room, it actually unlocks both doors - the one to Autumn AND the one to the statue. Now, when you proceed your companions will take the shortest path to catch up - which under the right circumstances may include going through that door and misfiring the statue trigger.

I haven't tried this here (maybe next time if I remember), but I know you can blow up the Gith leader's speech in the Archives this way - it's quite easily reproducible, in fact.

The answer is to watch your mini-map and make sure everyone is following the proper path.
