Actually, that site is dead, but we have saved all the forums/tutorials
etc, and you can find them on the website in my sig, or go directly to
the custom content forums there and browse through quite a bit. 

We hope to be adding MORE tutorials, both vid capture style, and standard step by step, pic in post style as we progress.

We
are actively seeking folks to help flesh out these various tutorials or
add new ones, so if you have a mind to create a tutorial on creating
custom content, either graphic related or any other type of custom

project is a collection of various tips, techniques, and tutorials for
the CC creator. It is complied from various authors in the NWN Community
and is intended to serve as a repository of hard to find, useful
information.

Some of the things you'll find:

Custom Content Essential Tools
Bannor Bloodfist's Tileset Window Illumination Tutorial
Estelindis' UVW Mapping Tutorial
...and much more (over 50 pages of material).
This
is a living document that is constantly changing as new information
becomes available. I have attempted to be as accurate as possible, but
make no guarantees as to the specific accuracy of any information
contained within. I invite the Community to correct, submit, and/or
ammend information as necessary. I may even convert this over to a Wiki
if enough people are interested.
The file that is available for download was written with Microsoft Word 2007.

I've made up a simple UVW unwrap tutorial thats easy to follow for everyone. Beginners should be able to easily follow it.

Here is another tutorial, covering basics in Creating an object and a
tile. Nothing fancy, but some general tips/tricks and cheats, that I
find useful when working on things in Max. These should apply to Gmax
or 3dsMax as both offer the same sorts of options.

Good stuff. Might wanna add it to the official sticky at the top though, rather than just making it a thread on its own. Better to centralize all the resources for aspiring modders.

Yeah I noticed that too, but anyhow I going to start a fresh topic with the same info. organized more by type and links etc.. and some general info. So if there more tutorials you want me to add just post them here and I update the topic with them. Thanks to everyone for keeping the topic from being buried.

Yeah, the real issue seems to be that the folks that have been boosted to moderator status, just don't visit the forums all that often.. once it becomes a "job" it gets boring, and apparently no one really wants to do the work.

This is the old one .  Even though he is still currently useing seggestons form this thread to add to the new one.

I would like to suggest that you change the title of this thread, Just to advoide confusion. Even if it is just to add (Old Thread to the end of the title.

Looking over the new thread I think it would ne nice to see more of the url's titled rather then just being the url's.

one thing I have learned when coping/pasting links on this forum is the use of the BBCode button in the upper right corner on the reply forum. It often come in usefull for stopping the BBCcode from doubling up the [ url] tags.

The title of the new thread looks good to me. I just think this thread, being an old and or seguestion spot thread could use a title update. Right now the titles are so close it is had to tell them apart.

So just append (old Thread) or something to the end of the title of this one.

** You can change the title of a thread when you edit the Original Post.
