Full party control. Just like Origins.

From the joystiq preview, make of it as you like:

That doesn't mean that Dragon Age has lost its core RPG combat
mechanic -- you can still pause the game and assign orders to your
characters. But it does mean that Hawke can mow down baddies with just
one whirlwhind ability, or that his mage cohort can summon a magic
meteor storm with just the press of a button. Moves are gory and flashy,
with limbs and blood flying everywhere after a big slash or a
devastating spell
.

I think we will still be able to switch between party characters.
Im curious if there is still the same amount of bantering between party members, now that i hope they dont remove. =)

So far, the combat is like Origins, except that the characters react faster. Which leads to some claiming "hack 'n' slash." I heard somewhere that the pause feature is still there.

Thy say they pretty much only fixed the console gameplay...and brought more action into the battles...I assume that means the enemies have lower HP but will rise in numbers.

The computer plays for you. It makes game more simpler and better. You just have to push one button during fights. Left Mouse button-attack style 1, Right Mouse button-attack style 2.

It should avoid all the complications of previous games. It still is a rpg, as your skill rating in attack 1 and 2 can increase depending on the number of times you pressed the button.

*fingers crossed* I really hope they keep this style! I was super sad when Final Fantasy switched to only letting you play as one character:crying:. As for actual, solid, information on that point, I don't believe we've gotten it yet.

Um...  wasn't it said that the PC gameplay is pretty much the same as DA:O?  Way to be a drama queen/troll.

Don't feed the trolls!! Quick, maybe if we pretend we didn't see him he'll go away.

Yeah...  that is true.  Or we could try to feed the troll so much that he bloats up and explodes, preventing him from moving on to troll other forums.

Your solution will probably work better though.  Mine might backfire.
