I can't continue the story because I can't get off my ship and go on another planet. If I do it takes me to the loading screen.

Probably a stupid question, but have you patched the game? What exactly happens, you go to the loading screen, but it doesn't load?

It loads but once it's done it takes me back to the screen with D malak

You should just have multiple saves in a game like this. 3 or 4 really. 1 for before you start a new planet, one for starting new missions or quests, and 1 for right before talking to people. Then there's your autosave too.
Not sure but I think that happens with Malak when you've been warping around but not sure. If you haven't been cheating then I don't know what to tell you. You may have to start over if you have no other saves or you can try googling your problem. Doubt there is a fix for it besides loading an earlier save.
