Seriously .... when was the last time BioWare let you down? Think about it, BioWare and Bad Ass have always gone hand in hand .... not convinced yet? Well, lets take a look.
BioShock = Bad Ass
DA:O = Bad Ass
KOTOR = Bad Ass
NWN = Bad Ass
Mass Effect = .... do I really need to keep going?
Yes, why not.
ME2-what the hell wast that? Shallow plot, awfull forcing down of romance, and mostly a shooter not a rpg.

Forcing down of romance? I didn't feel forced to it while playing, I have some playthroughs without romancing anyone:?

Apart from the romance thing, I actually agree with you here... For the first time ever, it seems. Mass Effect 2 had a weak plot, no suspense and lost nearly all of the rpg elements that made the first game good. It did have some redeeming factors though such as the epic characters introduced and that the shooter aspect of the game was increased tenfold.

I'm lazy, just pasting my reply here.
"Why should I boycott the game? Is it causing a oil spill in the gulf cost? Causing cancer? Children working in sweat shops? No? Oh well.. I will be buying DA2 then.

The game's already turning into dumbed-down trash. Why waste the money on another mediocre game that's dumbed down to the level of console gaming?

I will buy it if I like what I read/see about it. I will not buy it if I don't like what I read/see about it.

talking about right now, I'm not buying,because I cannot buy it,and if I could buy it, I wouldn't buy because of the way it looks right now

Is boycott the same as Not buying? I cannot understand how anyone can talk about this now, the game is out in about 7 months,maybe even longer.

To me (and perhaps the OP can clarify) a boycott doesn't take into consideration whether the product in question is good or bad, but is a refusal to buy something as a response to something the maker of the product has done. In other words, I read it as a refusal to buy DA2 - even if the game turned out to be good for what it is - because one doesn't like the direction Bioware took the game.

No, not anymore:(. Someone must have thought if it sold like that being "old-fashioned" it would sell much better if it goes modern. At least if it is the way it has been marketed so far. I learnt not to trust BW marketing with ME2 and DA:O, or I would stop getting their games.adi4444 wrote...

They are making DA2 out of the blood of young sweatshop worker kids. I know of a very tiny female writer who looks obviously too young to work!
It is funded by extremists and those who subjugate wimmins like evidenced by that Asian writer and her propensity to write horrendously mean stuff about women's underpants.
DA2 kicking puppies and EATING babies. It is a well known fact that Mr. Gaider likes his babies fried (I have him on record saying this) and hates puppies.
But I am not just NOT going to buy it, I shall express myself doing so! Like I express myself when I refuse to buy ANYTHING.
Today I decided not to buy a Latte while walking to work because that specific shop does not have organic soy milk. I also stood outside the shop with my wrist to my forehead, swooning about how boycotting them was inevitable. I asked passerbys who was going to join me.
Since I was making such a Bollywood production of my angst and disappointment, I also asked a few passerbys to be my backup dancers and we did a big dance right there on Union Station.
I thank you dramatic "SHUN BIOWARE!" folks for making my mornings very exciting. And if you are in the chicago area, please do join me during my morning routine boycotting Bioware's DA2. I start dancing at 7:30 AM. Thanks!

Maybe not a strong of a story as ME 1, but it did what it was suppose to do as the second act in a trilogy. And you must have not played through to the end, because the Suicide Mission had a lot of suspense and kept you on the edge of your seat at all times, it def payed off.

Vision and imagination? What have those supposed traits have given us of late? ME2 Shoot them up? The fact that people are still talking about Planescape Torment which was released yeaaaars ago as great example, shows how little vision and imagination has been offered since that time.DraCZeQQ wrote...

It was the same in ME1, but with gamebreakers for every squadie. ME1 main storyline was way more intense than the one in ME2, too many missions about the team and 4-5 about the Collectors.Kordaris wrote...

The Console Version is good wrote...
Some people make a big deal out of nothing, This is Biowares game if you do not want to buy it then tough luck you will only be replaced by someone else that it appeals to.
1. Bioware's a company, if they want to continue to get paychecks, they need to sell games. If they want to sell games, they may want to quit turning RPGs into other types of games. There's a reason why EA ends up folding all the studios they buy, it's because of things like this.
2. Wishfull thinking, one other big company said the same thing recently, sadly, they sold less than half of their initial shipment. Turns out, there isn't someone else to replace the alienated customers..
