I don't really see how one can already form a buy decision on DA2, let alone decide whether to boycott it.
First of all, not buying something because you don't like it does not a boycott make. Not buying a company's product(s) despite being interested in it because you don't agree with particular decision(s) of that company is a boycott.
For example, I boycott Ubisoft because of their
vile anti-second-hand market ploy draconic anti-piracy software.
Also definitely ME2 DLC ('though I might make an exception for the Liara DLC if it's really, really, really good 'cause the core game is seriously lacking in the Liara department), possibly ME3, most likely other future ME games and movies, and maybe even ME books and comics.
As for reasons: We've been lied to (and worse) re ME2 so extensively... I'll just say that I can't think of anything nice to say about Casey Hudson in particular other than his looking great and leave it at that. And the ME2 DLC specifically because I had to pay for the last of the "up to a dozen"(!) teammates. 'Twas the straw that broke the camel's back.
And I boycott the DA comic because of its author's views. ('Though at least judging from the preview of #01 it actually isn't all that good either.)
Speaking of comics, that's actually quite a muddy field when it comes to what is a boycott and what not IMHO.
Anyway, at the end of the day not buying is not buying and since you don't buy the same game every week or so (in contrast to consumable goods) the publisher end won't be able to tell the difference between you not being interested in a game and you being appalled at tangential stuff. Still, boycott is a strong word, so don't throw it around like adolescents throw around vulgarities.
Now, speaking of DA2:
Mediterranean feel and impressive architecture = positive.
Spiky armor and inconsistent darkspawn look = negative. Especially since the devs themselves used to make fun of the former in other fantasy IPs. I'd like a JE2 with better, more responsive combat, not a DA2 that looks halfway like JE without slanted eyes.
All the rest: of course I would've loved to be an elf or a dwarf again, but what little we know by itself actually doesn't sound bad and I trust the DA (writing) team. People really need to calm down. And BioWare really need to reveal some substantial information, like yesterday.

I don't like the poll options really because they are all negative apart from ' i like what i've seen and will buy it' . But we havent seen anything , my answer would be ' too early to say but bioware are brilliant so i'll buy it'.
and this.
