Yes and you came up with this without even seeing the game for youself at this early staged.
Less RPG choices, more combat, ninja like moves, and so on.

Those articles were written by idiots and have only served to spread misinformation to lemmings. To advocate them means either to be a lemming or to be an idiot.Kordaris wrote...

Yes... they reviewed a game that has yet to even come out. And where did the articles say that "theres more combat and less story"? They didn't, they just said the console versions combat is more dynamic while the PC's stay the same.Kordaris wrote...

Roleplay means you play a role.So that means everysingle game where you play as a character is a roleplaying game.BlackyBlack wrote...
If complete character customization is what makes an RPG then The Witcher, Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1&2 and EVERY JRPG aren't role playing games

Neither had a first part, which allowed for customization like Dragon Age 1. Witcher is based on a book about character, Torment is specific. Fallout 1 had several characters to choose fromBlackyBlack wrote...

Witcher was one of the most annoying and ugly games I played. Not to mention the in game dialogue was pompous and pretentious. The witcher had much heavier combat, a voiced protaganist, and ninja moves yet it is one of the best RPG'S out there,

That's a popular misunderstanding with how the term "RPG" is applied to gaming. To say that any game where you assume a role is a role playing game is entirely unhelpful and inaccurate in practical applications of the term.Arttis wrote...

Fallout 1&2 have complete customization. There's just some optional premade characters -_oBlackyBlack wrote...

When people say that a game has "RPG" elements, they mean that it offers the players stats that may be altered in various ways.

Most likely an action game with some RPG elements but not as much as DOA.
This is the trend Bioware is trying to create in order to increase sales from my view.
The hooked RPG gamers will buy it anyway in 80-90% while there is a chance a number of consumer base that played God of War, Diablo, Modern Warfare will buy such games as well.
For your information, people who play garbage like Modern Warfail don't bother with any other game that doesn't involve a first person view, they stick to those boring COD games or that boring beyond death L4D2.

I played .hack about 7 of their games
I played so many damn more I really should not list them all.
Western/eastern/whatever...a great game appeals to everyone who plays it imo.

When people say that a game has "RPG" elements, they mean that it offers the players stats that may be altered in various ways. A racing game, for instance, that has cars with a "Speed" attribute and a "Handling" attribute that are each affected by various parts the player can choose to install would be said to have RPG elements. A shooter in which the player can modify his or gun with scopes that might add to "Accuracy" or silencers that add to "Stealth" would similarly have RPG elements.
An RPG game is one that involves this with just about every aspect of the game. The player alters his or her stats, which in turn alter the talents that said player has chosen, and also allow the player to equip more powerful items which alters his or her stats...
In a practical sense, the ability to form relationships and - gasp - talk to NPCs has little to do with how "RPG" is typically used in gaming.
In short, "RPG" simply means that a game does its best to show the otherwise behind-the-scenes dice rolls that govern a game.

You are exactly like me, i enjoy those games too, i was just telling that other guy that people who solely play games like MW2, BC2 or shooters don't care about games like ME,ME2,DAO,KOTOR or the upcoming DA2Captain Iglo wrote...
