I got so used to using the respec mod in origins, but it dosnt seem to be updated for use with awakenings.  I'm a bit gutted about it, and not being able to tweak the NPC characters in awakenings is killing my joy Posted Image

Does anyone know of any other mod to respec characters in awakenings?  Any suggestions gratefully appreciated!

Doesn't awakening offer some way of its own to respec? Like you can buy them somehow? Not sure as I just got it and haven't started it up yet?

You can definitely buy a tome of respecialization from a good few shopkeepers.

But the tome of i-dont-remember-what is bugged. On level 25 i have nearli 120 attribute points. And this tome gives me only 99. Not good.

I don't know if a DA:A respec mod will be possible without a toolset update, and I wouldn't expect to see DA:A sourcecode in the toolset until after DA2 releases at the earliest (unless I'm misreading BW's priorities and/or concerns about someone making an Awakening knockoff).

I guess they probably figured that the Tome was for companions...even then, 99 points seems very low.

The respec book resets everything, and gives you the points for it, problem is it doesn't include points that were recieved from books from what I can tell, so those will be lost.

I've never had an issue with the tomes. If your attribute points are over 150, the remaining are 'stored' until the current ones are assigned. So unless you use another book, they should be there once you click 'play' from the first set. Unless you're 360 or PS3, then I can't say. PC has worked every time.

It has always given me the correct number of attribute points. I *think* it gave me one too many skills/talent points for one character. I counted before and after using the tome, but I didn't do a recount so who knows.

It always gives me the right number of points as well. It is only rogues who have one talent too many. They always start with Dirty Fighting plus the number of talent points they had before. It doesn't bother me though because they are the only class who don't get a bonus talent at the end of the Urn of Sacred Ashes so that's fair enough.

I just bought the Dragon Age Ultimate Edition- will installing the aforementioned mod cause trouble to the game? All that I know is that when I used the digital download from EA it could not launch the game after I downloaded and installed the mod- even after an uninstall and download. Now, however, I went and bought a hard copy from Game Stop and would like to know whether it will work before trying it. I really do not want to go through another download / character development....I like the way my rogue looks :P. Thanks mates.
