In this section we will only be posting links to Quality Sources of Content created by scripters / builders, it would be best if you have a lot of resources on the nwvault.ign.com to post a link to ALL of your content, you can achieve this by posting a link to the web page that shows all your content (You will have to go to that page at the nwvault.ign.com)

If you have an external web site that host your files, please give links to the folder that holds all of your content, if possible, thanks.

I've done this to cut down on the # of post people make about their content, including myself, if someone wants to post a link to another builder's work, that's fine, provided it's quality, like the CEP, Higher Grounds' Content (Sim Tools) NWNX, etc...

and about quality... I dont consider neither script from your chosing to be qualite. They are global, that doesn't mean quality. Maybe better would be to list all scripts on vault by their usage.

I'm a bit confused by this post. I can see a couple of the above links being placed here in the scripting section under a "Scripting Tools" post perhaps. But there is already a Custom Content section here: social.bioware.com/forum/1/category/191/index .

Did anyone actually see a point in a thread like this that I started, and where I started it? Or am I just too dense to have a good idea? Please, do not insult my intelligence, I'm not trying to insult yours..



Custom Content Also Includes Scripting and is specifically related to Building, therefore, unless you think SimTools, Lexicon, or any other great resource listed above, has nothing to do with building / scripting, then post links that do or stop posting your snide comments, for they are neither warranted nor appreciated.. (Don't make me pull out my uber moderator wannabe ugly stick, sheeze)

Because people looking through a whole basket of fruit for one apple might not want to search through the whole basket, to use your analogy. It has to do with keeping things organized so that people who do need help can find it more easily. It's easier to find an apple in a basket of apples. Wouldn't you agree?

Ok, so you didn't get the point of my post that you replied to, obviously...

Furthermore, you have posted what link to custom content?

Has anyone added to the quality of this post yet?  (I only see complaints & disagreement or obnoxious replies) 

Despite what you may think is WRONG in YOUR Opinion, others may like a post that includes scripting & building resources (eg links to them) which in turn would be an apple basket for looking for apples in... (though you obviously only joined the band wagon of haters now, so who is looking silly now?)

I posted a thread, which 4 people have now commented on & disagreed with, rather than posting anything useful, thereby wrecking my thread for the most part, and the only thing I'm led to believe (or any reader for that matter) is that those who posted are like either jealous, or just plain hating... 

So you decide, is the thread bad?  (I'd have to say no, though I could be wrong, you can see in my argument about the reason to have such a thread like this, that the obvious haters are only thwarting my idea / post)

As a final note, I think we as a community would be best served NOT To play the Wannabe Server Admin / Moderator Role unless we are officially dubbed with the title of an actual Admin or Moderator, and we don't want to assume the thoughts of others by speaking on the behalf of others, (eg. the nwn community), so before you come to a social and try to spit on people, maybe you should consider they can spit back too...

That's exactly why I posted the link above to the "Category NwN 1 Custom Content and Community Expansion Pack" section of these forums as this topic you posted is about "Custom Content". I was trying to help. Not spit on you.

Just a FYI.



GhostOfGod has helped many of the Builders/Scripters out there. I have also never known him to be a pest.



I on the other hand have been drawn into flame wars a time or two. Human nature I guess I try to avoid them.



None of this changes the fact that most of the links in the OP are better suited to another forum. It is not that the post is bad. It could just do more good on another board. even though a lot of it would be off topic for the toolset board, I could see the whole thing being posted there. a lot of times the people that use that board have no idea where to look, so it would be a useful tool there. The scripting board has been traditionally , Scripting only. I see no reason to change that.



Posting links to custom content on this board will encourage people to ask custom content questions on here. When they would be better off asking the question on the Custom content board where the people who do custom content can give them a better answer. I guess that is also a good reason not to post the whole thing on the toolset board. At least not without notes where someone should seek help from if they need it.

Untill the topics are set, there is bound to be some mis posting, Esp., when those that want the new topics a certain way are doing the posting. I have to fight the impulse aswell. That being said, I do believe this topic NWN Scripting is going to be its own topic, as per the current discussion here: http://social.biowar...9/index/3201254 With that in mind, CEP, content in general does not belong here, however a link to CEP scripts would. Erf. Toll, and NWN explorer do not belong here, but rather in the Community made Custom Content and Tools. Links to peoples work, are nice, but are best left to the individuals sig. Posting your own work, however good it is, comes across as bragging when done as posted here. Its all well and good to want Quality scripting, and to link what you think qualifies as quality, but even if yours is the best that can be done, it does not translate to the best for everyone who will come here looking for answers. It is just your opinion, and as they say everyone has one.



I had hope, that the personal digs and tounge lashing got left behind and not packed up with the rest of the bad behavior at the Bio-Boards. Looks like it is starting to find its way here, I ask everyone to please be carefull of it here, as this is suppose to be a fresh start.

2 Links (CEP & NWNX) didn't belong, but, that was like 2 out of 10 links, NEVERTHELESS, there were like X replies about those links not belonging here, and none of you jerks actually contributed to the thread, they only wrecked it on purpose..

As if a cake with 2 pecans on it are out of place, you jerks would say to the cake maker, your cake is all wrong..

Of course I don't have the nads to tell my wife how to make a cake...  (If you do, you only prove your an inconsiderate & asinine jerk)

Naturally the cake maker would probably shove the cake up your candy arse, freaking jerks...

Having some offtopic links in a generally on topic thread is less than a big deal. So the thread is fine. Bumping it if you don't like it doesn't help your view on it though. But keep the personal attacks out of it everyone.

Those who tried to look good by changing what they said in their original post will NOT be forgotten for being a trouble makers, wrecking this post, posting superfluous opinions, and clearly just stomping on another person post...

The community would do well to mark those who simply post to cause problems, are clearly off topic, and just want to post their opinion (whether it's correct or wrong) without adding anything to the community or the thread they are posting in...
