To be released in March 2011, the same time with Darkspore?

This really isn't smart.
Two RPGs with tactical squad-based combat from EA at the same time.

Yeah, never heard of Darkspore before. According to Wikipedia it is going to be released in February though?

Quite promising in what I saw in Gamespot. Bioware has been helping Maxis on it.

However, I'm afraid I'll have to drop it because of DA2. Can't really play 2 RPGs in the same time.

Don't worry, they are working on that.:wizard:

A kinda-sorta sequel to Spore, that from what I understand, plays like a squad-based Diablo

I don't think we need to worry about a significant amount of conflict over the two games being released close together.

It looks like it'll be a Diablo clone and it'll be released in February not March

Yes, while there won't be much story, I can imagine the character leveling-up being deeper than DA2.

As far as I can see Dragon Age 2 is still destined for March.

Oh, my bad. Feberuary it is.

I think I may pick it up then. Don't know how much Bioware is involved though.

Personally, I'm afraid I'll have to beat DA2 in a month.  Bio is actually stepping on itself after that...

Who cares? Sci-fi Diablo isn't a substitute for DA. Might be interesting on its own terms, but after Spore I'm gonna wait for a bargain price on this one.

Seems to be like Darkspawn Chronicles...playing as a monster. Not for me.

I don't really see the connection between the two games but, as someone else already pointed out, they're not released in the same month (though their projected releases, delays notwithstanding, are indeed quite close).

They don't look even remotely similar.

Spore, the Sims 1,2,3 are RPGs with out a plot or story line. They are fun in the way one can build people, buildings, cars, etc but the player must their own story and goals and they never truly end because one can play generations after generations of your chars.... I don't see a conflict for a hard core RPG player....

I still doubt that the game will be out in March. I suspect they'll push it back, and I'm okay with that. Gives them time to make a better game, I'd gladly give them another year and a half. Assuming it guaranteed a better product.
