Switching over to the mage resulted in a more tactical style of combat along the lines of the first game.
Sorry, but if the 1UP reviewer concluded that it's a hack & slash by trying out
only a melee class, he's an idiot. Melee classes hardly need turn based combat micromanagement anyhow since Baldur's Gate.
I won't buy the game if it's a hack & slash, but if a reviewer tells if a game is hack & slash by trying out only melee, he needs to go back to Pool of Radiance to find out a tactical one, even in BG I never micromanaged my melee's.
Anyhow this is all too confusing and hardly worth dedicating time. When it's released, I'll look up some youtube videos, if it's hack & slash I skip, if it's tactical combat I buy.
