And that's exactly why I don't understand it. It's not like the weapons are so powerful that they're completely broken - both the Widow and the Claymore have all the disadvantages their class suffers from in general, and the Revenant is actually substantially less effective at longer ranges than the weapon it supposedly upgrades. By modding it, you're not giving yourself all that much of an upgrade.
I don't like using the Revenant - simply not accurate enough, like the looks though

To be honest, I've never really thought the enormous amount of restrictions placed on classes in ME2 was particularly well-thought out. The class balance is virtually non-existant.
But modding can fix a lot of things
Same here, I wished you could mod a lot more things possible today - a Shockwave / Cryo Ammo switch would be nice.
@ Numotsbane; I don't like modding games and I always play them at least once or twice before I go checking the web for mods, guides, tips and tricks etc. I like to figure things out myself, but modding games is also one of the reasons I play on pc - there are always going to be mods that change the way games can be played and most of the time they're improving the game as well (or even better, provide a totally new game/ add extra content).
I don't like those cheats who use mods to mess up multiplayer gaming, but with single player games like ME2, I believe everybody should be free to play the game the way they want. One of the things I miss from ME1 is the customization - there's a lot less equipment and powers in ME2, hopefully this will be improved with ME3.
