I really don't like Tali (Attempting forum suicide)

She won't shutup about how cerberus experiments are evil, yet she is so ready to defend her father's experiments against the geth. Which brings me to her views on the geth which can be described as pretty much racist. Though i will admit that those views probably come from being raised by people who hate the geth. Even so, Tali should be able to see that the geth uprising was the Quarians fault(see Mordin and the Genophage). You can't blame a race of sentient beings for driving you off when you try to kill them. She says they had no other option but that's just bull. The quarians could have released the geth and let them chose their own destiny. Instead they tried to commit genocide and in my opinion they got what they deserved.
The thing i dislike about her the most is her romance. Let's forget the fact that the dialogue is more cheesy than a Twilight book. Let's forget that if Shepard really cared about her he wouldn't put her life in danger like that. Let's forget that the Romance itself develops unrealistically. When it comes down to it Tali's romance basically turns her into a rabid fan-girl for shepard. She's in love with Commander Shepard, not John, Jack, or whatever your characters name is. It feels like her romance was put into the game for the sole purpose of stroking the players massive ego. Which also makes Tali come across as a shallow character. She has this whole theme of "I've always loved you Shepard<3swoon<3." That always made me say "I thought I was playing Mass Effect not a effing T.V. novella.":?
I write this because i actually liked Tali in mass effect 1. She was the fun little sister that i never had. That's why i'm upset that in mass effect 2 she doesn't develop much as a character even if you romance her.
Now if you'll excuse me I believe i get one last ciggarette before i report to the firing squad.

It's your opinion, man. But I can't help but think you posted all those words in an attempt to say "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!"
more like "Look at Tali, now back to me, now back to Tali,NOW BACK TO ME!! sadly she isn't me but she stopped using krogan scented bodywash she could smell like me."
in all seriousness I apologize if i come across that way, and maybe i am wrong about a bunch of things. However, I don't like the direction they took with Tali's character in ME2 and that is the only reason i am posting.

But from a female perspective it appears as such: During her loyalty mission you hear auntie raan talk about when she linked her suit with Tali's mother so that she could be there when Tali was born. this is an extremely intimate and important sign of friendship. It lays the foundation for when Tali confesses that the only person she would feel comfortable doing that with is Shepard. I found this final line from her extremely touching.
So if you didn't like it from the male point of view, you might have better luck if you play from the female point of view. But then again you may just want to let it go altogether :/

I couldn't have said it better myself, she's kind of immature like a kid sister and my Shep would protect and look after her the same way, but romance, nope sorry my Shep has Miri.Posioned wrote...
I've liked her character since the first game. But more in the kid sister kind of way. I find the whole romance side kind of creepy.

I mean, I like Tali because she's a good character. She's written convinicingly. Mind you, I think Mordin is way more interesting, but I don't think they did a bad job with Tali. A strong character can inspire a variety of emotions. Really, at this point we're better off judging her based on if she's written well or not.
